The Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler is ready to give you a more effective way to combat the trail. Axial has equipped this Capra model with 4-wheel steer for enhanced maneuverability and performance. Using the functions found on the included transmitter, you can steer the axle from 0 (straight), to 50% or 100% left and right. Get ready to dominate the trail with the Axial Capra 1.9 equipped with 4-wheel steering.

The transmission includes an optional Dig setup that is disabled from the factory (and requires an optional to a 4-channel radio and micro servo for use - not included). To have Dig and rear steering capabilities, remove the spacer from inside the transmission and install your micro servo. With the flick of a transmitter button, you can now activate Dig and lock the rear drive axle. That allows you to pull the buggy around by the front end while holding the rear in place.

The tube chassis of the Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy offers realistic scale rock crawler buggy looks and is optimized for suspension and tire clearance. Currie F9 Portal Axles deliver 45° of steering with extra ground clearance. Both axles feature metal universals that produce smooth action for an efficient and durable drivetrain. All links and suspension pivots are made of rust-proof stainless steel and provide precise, durable suspension points.

The included Spektrum DX3 transmitter features exclusive DSMR technology for superior range, response, and interference resistance. It's also fully compatible with the Smart telemetry potential provided by the vehicle's Spektrum Firma 2-in-1 40A Smart ESC/Receiver. Using a Spektrum Smart LiPo pack, you can follow on-board battery capacity on the transmitter's voltage level indicator while driving with confidence in any weather and trail conditions - the electronics are protected by a waterproof and dustproof design.

Features:
  • Includes front and rear steering out of the box for the ultimate in precise maneuverability
  • Also includes an optional Dig setup — unlock the Dig transmission and upgrade to a 4-channel radio and micro servo to operate the Dig feature while also having rear steering
  • Currie F9 Portal Axles offer 45° of steering with extra ground clearance for the best crawling performance
  • Tube chassis design offers the realistic scale looks of a rock crawler buggy and is optimized for suspension and tire clearance
  • Included Spektrum™ DX3™ 2.4GHz DSMR® radio provides superior range, response, and interference resistance and is compatible with Smart technology
  • Front and rear axles each come with a Spektrum™ S614 Metal-Gear servo installed for steering
  • Licensed Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires offer a wider tire patch and more traction
  • Metal universal joints on both axles provide smooth action and 45 degrees of steering for an efficient, high-performance drivetrain

Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Black)
Rtr came with some bad electronics but Amain took care of it quickly and hassle free. The Capra itself is really interesting to drive with 4 wheel steer vs the normal dig. There are some serious advantages both ways! It's also just fun. In the end you can add the dig for the ultimate setup. Took a star for the bad parts; otherwise an amazing rig and Amain had me running the same week!

Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Black)
This crawler is amazing as an RTR! I had run nitro, buggies, SC and wanted to get into crawling (slower and relaxing and less breakage - lol). This car hit it perfect. Out of the box it is an extremely capable rig. I was running the 3700 mAh 3S Lipo and it was a tad heavy. I liked the weight in the front, but it was too high. The tires are capable as well - and the 4WS is amazing. I connected this to my DX5C so setting up the 4WS with proportional changes was easy. I tied the 4WS to a switch and toggle it for each steering mode. The thing I really wish (which I'll improve with a different transmitter down the road) is having the rear steer on a proportional dial so that I can adjust the rear steer and keep it at a setting as I drive.

The things you can do that will really improve your rig (at least it did for me):
- Changed plastic 9g wheels to 109g wheels and added 2.5oz to each front wheel.
- Changed pinion gear to a 9T (mine was a 32P and not 48P) - check before you order. I ran a 10T and it was great, the 9T on teh stock motor is way slower and makes this a great crawler.
- Better transmitter/radio: Adjust endpoints, expo, mixes, etc... Lots of stuff that is better than the stock Spektrum.
- Slight OD on front end (change portal gears, diff gears)
- Complete DIG servo install
- Added rock lights controlled by a switch on transmitter
- Changed tire foams to PL dual density (1.9)
- Changed tires to JC Rupture (though cannot compete - too tall)
- Get an ESC programmer, watch a YT video and adjust your stock Spektrum ESC settings. Drag brake is way too low, punch is low, quite a few can be optimized - the video spells it out for you!

At the end of the day - I was crawling in the house and made a course with pillows, cushions, boxes, chairs, etc... The kid and I spent forever killing time doing this. That didn't even compare to the ability it had to crawl once we took it outside to some rocks. I want to buy another for the kid but can't justify it lol - so I bought a brushless/esc combo for this one... I am so looking forward to this when that gets installed!!

Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Black)
Tons of character, easy to work on, even more fun with 2.2" wheels. I do wish there was still a non FWS version though.

Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Black)
I'm closing out 2022 with the purchase of the Axial Capra 1.9 4WS UTB! It's a perfect trail companion for my previous purchase of the Capra UTB with front steering!
Right now, there is way to much snow and cold to get it out on my normal trails and creek bottoms to proffer up real performance reports.

The over-all quality and good looks of this UTB is excellent and testing the function of the UTB in house, it is showing me that when it hits the trails, rocks and rough terrain, it's going to be a great performer! Axial got this right and I have become a fan of their UTB RTR rigs! I'll try to remember to return here in the spring/early summer of 2023 and report how it's doing out there where it will live! :) If your trail trucks are not getting you out there into the boonies far enough, you should consider adding one of these incredible Axial UTBs to your collection! They add a lot of fun and adventure to your outings!

Axial Capra 1.9 4WS Unlimited Trail Buggy 1/10 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Black)
Earlier in the year I had purchased a Danchee Ridgerock and fell in love with the 4 wheel steering on that truck and knew I had to get a better truck with the same setup. The Ridgerock was okay but lacked durability and left me wanting something better. I was excited to find this truck with 4-wheel steering. I own an Axial Bomber RR10 and have really enjoyed its quality and durability. This truck has all of that and 4 wheel steering. I absolutely love this truck. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality crawler with great durability and capability. It can also be upgraded later on if I want to.
