Race Inspired Big Scale Monster Truck - 8S Capable!

The Traxxas XRT stands out as a remarkable monster truck, combining race-inspired design and engineering with the raw power and strength characteristic of the X-Maxx platform. Its low center of gravity, wide stance, and streamlined body contribute to unparalleled stability and control, enabling the XRT to reach impressive speeds of 60+MPH. The emphasis on speed and handling is evident in its performance-focused chassis design, carefully configured to lower the center of gravity for superior stability. The chassis also accommodates dual 6700 4S batteries (sold separately) and a steering servo strategically positioned to keep the weight as low as possible, enhancing overall performance.

About the XRT 8S

Design

Durability is a cornerstone of the XRT's design, featuring an all-metal 8s driveline that includes steel 4-gear differentials, steel driveshafts, and a high-strength extruded aluminum center shaft. This proven monster-truck tough drivetrain has its roots in the reliable X-Maxx platform, ensuring the XRT can withstand the rigors of extreme bashing. The inclusion of Gravix race tires further contributes to its durability, featuring a revolutionary hybrid design with densely packed biting edges and sipes for exceptional grip on hard-packed surfaces.

Electronics

What sets the XRT apart is its VXL-8S power system, already Traxxas' most potent speed control. The aggressive tune maximizes power output across the entire RPM range, delivering mid-range punch that results in rolling wheelies on demand. The responsiveness of the XRT is instant, with effortless acceleration at any speed. Using the 1275kV motor, the XRT is ready to blast to speeds over 50mph!

Clipless Body Mounts

The clipless body mounting system adds to its user-friendly design, allowing for easy removal and installation in just seconds while ensuring a secure and strong lock in place. The body itself is reinforced with a cage to minimize flex and external skids to strategically protect it during intense bashing sessions. Due to its fusion of race-inspired design, exceptional durability, and powerful performance. Whether you're pushing the limits of speed or navigating challenging terrains, the XRT delivers confidence and control, making it a top choice for enthusiasts seeking an adrenaline-pumping RC monster truck experience and one of the best big-scale bashers on the market!

Traxxas XRT 8S Extreme 4WD Brushless RTR Race Monster Truck (Red)
The XRT is so much fun! It really can do some amazing things on the ground and even get a little air from natural ramps in the environment. I love drifting the vehicle when its wet out and the battery life is crazy good. This thing can be at almost full blast for like an hour. Super impressive.

First outing: Servo dies after 40 minutes
$150 later, Servo is replaced with high quality 1/10 servo. Works so well.

Second outing: After an hour of bashing, no jumps, but a few head-on and side collisions at low speed. I was just drifting around in the city. I come home to find the chassis cracked right underneath the battery and damaged the battery with a huge dent in it that caused the battery pack to push out in other areas.
$170 later, Battery and Chassis is replaced and ready to go out again... but now I am nervous.

So far the marginal cost of using the XRT has been a little over $3/minute to play with and that is pretty steep considering I haven't taken it to the skate park yet. The price of the experience is why I am not giving this 5 stars.

Traxxas XRT 8S Extreme 4WD Brushless RTR Race Monster Truck (Red)
The XRT is massive and it does well for what it is. This isn’t a basher made for huge jumps and back flips. It’s a on/off road truggy that’s designed to handle well on turns and is stable on runs. I feel that most are running this in a way that it’s not designed for and they break things then they blame Traxxas for making a poor product. The only dislike I have is the battery compartment. It’s a struggle to get the 8s lipo battery in place without pinching the wires.

Traxxas XRT 8S Extreme 4WD Brushless RTR Race Monster Truck (Red)
I ran mine full speed into a foam block and… snap. it broke the chassis in half, people are overhyping the durability although it is terrible, worth 100 dollars, not 1000. Don’t Buy.
