This RTR is a track ripper. For the price the performance can't be beat. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas and she is beyond excited to get it. We saw one last night at our local carpet track shredding it with the 21.5 class. It can keep up just fine with the 6.3 and TLR 10th scale cars. It could definitely benefit from a sway bar in the rear but I am hoping the sway bar for the DR10 fits as most of the parts are interchangeable. Being a rear motor car you can tell it's a bit light in the front end but that can be easily overcome with the brass bulkhead and or stick on chassis weights. I can only imagine how awesome this thing performs on a clay/dirt track. I would highly recommend this for anyone thinking of getting into the racing hobby. Better to buy this and keep it as a backup or a spare car for your buddies if you find out a 2 thousand dollar race rig is the direction you want to go. It can take large hits as we saw last night at PDXRCUNDERGROUND. Didn't break down once and the track owner will end up buying a bunch of these as rental vehicles vs the buggy's they use now. To reiterate my point this thing is truly awesome for anyone wanting to get into racing or just an overall great buggy for the price.
***UPDATE***
Did some research and found that this car is very very conservatively geared out of the box. Switched to a 23t pinion and reset the gear mesh and slipper clutch. Wow this thing now rips and the stock ESC and motor have shown no signs of overheating. The rest of the car is high quality and handles very nicely. The manual is very informative and detailed. Overall I only took one star off now due to the stock gearing. I understand TA probably wants to not overwhelm new racers or bashers, but at least a 20t would be a safe balance between power and safety still. Now considering an MT10, MT8, or Pro4 STC.
On 2s this thing is painfully SLOW. At my local track it can't even clear the most basic jumps on dirt tracks. Compare this to a Rustler VXL 2wd on 2s that easily can clear the same
double jumps.
This was beat out by a Losi Mini B on a dirt oval, a brushed Losi Mini B.
The rest of the cars build quality is nice though and the parts seem to hold up well. However this thing has the speed and power of a toy. I'd be willing to bet a brushless no brand wltoys car would fare better than this regarding power and speed.
I choose Team Associated believing that they had solid quality and development that would make this product perfect for racing. Sadly my newest purchase and most recently developed car, the rb10, is slower and gutless compared to every other car I own.
First off, the tires are absolutely horrible for packed dirt. Trying to drive this thing on a dusty packed dirt surface is like trying to rollerblade on ice. Just a tiny bit too much throttle and it just whips around faster than you, or the steering servo, can react. Which brings up the servo, which is another big negative for me, its just not fast enough IMO. Quick corrections are so essential on RWD buggies; the stock servo is just a bit too sluggish for me.
All that said, the rest of the construction is absolutely spot on. The suspension setup was a bit off on mine, it came set with a degree or two of toe in on the front, which is the last thing you want on a RWD buggy, as it makes it ever more snappy when it looses rear traction. I changed it to 1-2 degrees toe out, and it's much more predictable. And with that one adjustment, the suspension performs amazing. Add in a set of real racing tires, I chose Proline Holeshot all the way around, and this car is an amazing performer. Good tires really make it come to life. I can't wait to get the highspeed servo I ordered for it.
This car would definitely have been 5 stars for me if it came with a little bit faster servo and a better set of tires stock. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, just be aware that you may need to put in more money to make it really perform.

I bought two of these. One for me and one for my son. These are our first rc cars. I have only driven mine on the local carpet track and seemed to do well from what I can tell. My son however tried to send it to the moon at the local skate park. Only thing he broke was the antenna tube. So overall I would say they did great.
Fun buggies, I got two for my kids and they loved them (their first proper rc cars). Definitely good team associated quality but there were some little issues.
The suspension on both buggies was really wonky, shocks were only filled with fluid half way, these things bottom out hard out of the box so definitely tweak the suspension and change fluid viscosity.
Pretty quick on 2C, more than enough for my beginner kids, they are durable, they have crashed walls, trees, real cars you name it and they haven't broken.
Definitely recommended!
Nice buggy with good components. As an RTR it was not ready out of the box. Had to reset throttle end points. Front drivers side wheel has flat spot after unpacking and is also split. On 2s this thing is painfully slow. Gearing is LAME. Buy a 3s pack for this thing or you will be bored. Add a more aggressive pinion gear as well. Had hopes of enjoying this more but kind of disappointed. Will spend time turning it into something better.
Got the RB10 as a gift. I love this car. It’s so much fun. The parts for the B4 fit it perfectly. I did remove the receiver and the dvc but only because I wanted to use my Spektrum radio. Then DVC was nice. I just don’t want to carry more than 1 radio.
Haven’t had a chance to run yet, but it looks like a great buggy overall and Amain got it shipped and delivered in amazing time!!
It looks like a rear-motor RTR, but it drives like a mid-motor kit. The stock remote feels terrible, but it works till you can replace it.
I purchased this to get back into buggy racing/practice. It's affordable and upgradeable. I used it for outdoor track practice and it performed really well. The only upgrades I did was Team Associated wheels glued to Proline Hole Shot tires and went from 18 tooth pinion gear to 23 tooth. I had a few crashes and the buggy is still in tact. I would highly recommend this if you want an affordable buggy to use for racing/track use. The stock electronics are fine (I turned off the DVC). The motor kv rating is perfect for track use and you can change the spur and/or pinion gear to get the desired results you need out of the motor.
great buggy with smooth Excelleration. Only thing out of the box it is geared very conservatively. I upgraded the pinion gear to 25 tooth. Lost some initial punch but now gets up to 50mph. My advise is to get some larger tires. Only ran the buggy three or four times and the tire are bald and now it only does figure 8's. recommend slightly larger tires with more grip.
Bought this as my first designated track car. I have a ton of RC car experience but driving on the track is new to me. As a 2 wd she did really well. I crashed a lot more then I wanted to and everything held up. I feel like this car is a great bang for your buck. Comes with some pretty cool components out of the box.
Fast shipping, great price. Everything was perfect. This car is awesome. Fast right out of the box and as always team associated products are always great quality. A++
