Model Kit Overview:
Tamiya 1/24 Lancia Stratos Turbo Plastic Model Kit. This model kit recreated the Lancia Stratos Turbo that was originally sold in 1977 and is not motorized this time around. It has some updates to its predecessor, including the decals, wheels, and instruction manual. The Lancia Stratos was manufactured by the well-known and widely popular Italian manufacturer, Lancia. Carrozzeria Bertone gracefully designed the wedge body, and this rear-wheel-drive car employed a midship 2,400cc V6 DOHC Dino engine. With the combined design and powerful engine to back it up, the Lancia Stratos went on to win three championships from 1974 to 1976. Based on the Lancia Stratos, the Stratos Turbo edition was developed as a Group Five endurance racecar with a turbocharged engine capable of approximately 520hp.
