Tamiya 1/24 Mazda Eunos Roadster Model Kit. The Mazda Eunos Roadster, also known as the Mazda Miata or the MX-5, is a Japanese roadster sports car that was first introduced to the public in 1989. Its serial production began in the same year, and is still widely produced and loved today. The Mazda Motor Corporation engineered this car with victory in mind, crafting it in an attempt to win the roadster segment that was dominated by the aging Alfa Romeo Spider in the 1980s. Mazda had successfully created a compact, low-curb-weight vehicle that still maintained good performance, and offered a high level of safety as well as a balanced level of travel comfort. These qualities made the Mazda Eunos Roadster a cult title, and in 1995 and 2005 the model won the Car of the Year title.
