Hot Racing Sealed Aluminum Differential Case for Traxxas 2WD
This was one of the better upgrades for the slash. To prevent leaking, build it using protek orang grease or associated green slime. I use 20k oil and the truck feels great. I use this in a lcg slash with a 3600kv castle motor.

Use Green Slime lubricant on the O-ring seals or you will lose fluid! I didn’t do this the first time and I lost fluid within 2 weeks vs. the Traxxas OE differential case which took about a month. I use 500k to one million weight differential fluid for my drag cars. After using the Green Slime, I used the drag car for about 3 more weeks before I put the car away for the season. When I did an overhaul inspection I still had fluid in it.

I didn’t use grease but used 100k Fluid. Leaked a little and needed top up but diff casing is solid.

Hot Racing Sealed Aluminum Differential Case for Traxxas 2WD
I bought this differential because of all the good reviews and I wanted tunability. Problem is you silicone oil will leak out around the o-rings on the shafts. Does not seal like advertised. I suppose if all your going to use is black grease it will work. Now I'm saving my money for either the magnum 272r, or the drc transmission both have bevel cut gears which is better than planetary anyway. 1 star because unlike these guys who must have reviewed it before they ran it I waited till after I ran mine to review. Not a good product!!!
