Capable Entry Level 1/10 Scale R/C Trail Truck!

The Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 is a remarkable R/C rock crawler that pays homage to the iconic civilian Jeep introduced in 1976. Boasting an officially licensed Jeep CJ-7 body made of durable polycarbonate, this crawler comes complete with Gen-Right bumpers, body armor, and a fully detailed interior, including an opening center console. The doors of the scale body are functional, allowing for an immersive experience where enthusiasts can open or even remove them. The attention to detail extends to additional scale features, such as a functional center console, removable coffee tumbler and soda can, transfer case twin stick shifters, automatic transmission shifter, bucket seats with optional seatbelt harness slots, folding side view mirrors, and more. This level of scale realism sets the SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 apart, making it a must-have for collectors and rock crawling enthusiasts.

The authenticity doesn't stop at the exterior, as the SCX10 III features officially licensed Raceline Daytona beadlock wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss R35 compound tires for secure traction on any crawling terrain. The rig's AR45 standard straight axles mirror those of the full-size CJ-7, providing true scale looks and a low center of gravity. The all-metal gears in the transmission, along with aluminum adjustable coil-over shocks with threaded bodies, ensure strength and tunability for optimal off-road performance. The multi-link solid axle suspension, featuring 6mm stainless steel links and all-metal pivot balls, adds durability to the CJ-7's capabilities.

Built on the proven Axial SCX10 III platform, the CJ-7 features a strong SCX10 III steel C-channel chassis, reducing frame flexing and enhancing the precision of suspension movement. The inclusion of a Dig function, activated from the transmitter, allows for instant front-wheel-drive by locking the rear axle, improving turning and control. With a factory-installed, brushed power system and the Spektrum DX3 Smart transmitter, the SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 is ready-to-run out of the box, requiring only a 2-3S LiPo battery and charger!

The Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 builds upon the renowned SCX10 platform, a staple in the R/C crawling community known for its exceptional performance and durability. The SCX10 series has garnered widespread popularity, attracting both entry-level enthusiasts and seasoned hobbyists alike. One of the key reasons for its success lies in the extensive aftermarket support, providing enthusiasts with a plethora of performance hop-ups and upgrades to customize and enhance their rigs! With countless aftermarket options ranging from upgraded suspension components to high-performance motors and sophisticated electronic systems. This wealth of aftermarket support has cultivated a vibrant community, contributing to the SCX10's status as a beloved and popular platform that continues to evolve with the ever-growing demands of the rock crawling scene. Whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned crawler, the Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 offers not just an incredible out-of-the-box experience but also a gateway to a thriving ecosystem of customization, ensuring that the adventure never stops.

Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Red)
Great looking jeep preforms really well. It Is a very solid vehicle The tires are very sticky. I like the options of the 2 speed and dig in the transmission and The esc is smooth and quiet. The rear bumper is nice and flush with the body and the front stinger bumper catches you on some steap decents. The lights are the perfect brightness and look really good I highly recommend this vehicle.

The rig itself frame and body is great.. tires suck on anything besides rocks.. the wheels are plastic..the controller is ok.. the esc and receiver is 1 unit.. and is garbage.. it's way underpowered and jerky.. off the bat... you need a rx tx..and hobbywing fusion to make this thing come alive..oh and new wheels and tires.. they should offer this at a kit.. with no electronics... the servo has been great so far.

lots of problems. terrible stock steering. looks great. really not a fan of the Stock electronics even by Stock electronic standards. dig end point set incorrectly. overall I find the SCX 10 three very interesting but also pretty lacking in some ways.

i've got it crawling pretty great for a short wheelbase vehicle but it's primarily a trail runner with some capabilities on rocks. I feel like I've paid too much for this vehicle but it is fun for sure.

to be fair I'm very familiar with almost every other platform and it's pluses and minuses and right now the minuses are standing out more but I've also been using the truck a lot so it must be pretty fun. i'm not sure I do recommend it I bought a Capra around the same time and I think it's better in every conceivable way as far as 1/10 scale axial rigs go.

both trucks are weight and width modified and upgraded to 2.2 metal beadlocks. stock electrics on both

Axial SCX10 III Jeep CJ-7 RTR 4WD Rock Crawler (Red)
This will be my first Axial branded truck. So far it's been great. I film YouTube videos and the Jeep CJ7 is beautiful and has enough scale items to make it look great. No real need to update anything right out of the box. Stock motor/esc are quite adequate but it really depends on what you want to do with the vehicle. The CJ7 is great for trailing and filming. However, if you're wanting to do more serious rock crawling, you'll want to upgrade motor/esc, tires/wheels and shocks. NO SHOW clips are very nice and yes, it's a bit of work to get them off and on the first couple of times, but after that it's pretty easy. $500 is high, but so is the quality.
