This Yeah Racing Front Axle Housing is an optional accessory for the Traxxas TRX-4 front axle. It features a cast/machined finish, with an additional Titanium coating for even more durability. High shine silver edges add that extra bling, while original TRX4 diff covers fit no problem.

This package does not include the axle internals or diff cover, and will require those parts to finalize assembly.

Front Axle Housing Weight: 115g

Yeah Racing Alloy Front Axle Housing for Traxxas TRX-4 (Black) (Titanium Coated)
I purchased the set of these axles almost a year ago now, and they have worked perfectly over that time. I was a little concerned that they would have some fittiment or quality issues simply because of the cheap price compared to most other alloy type axles on the market, and while the overal finish of them isnt quite as nice as some others, im more than satisfied with them for what they cost. They fit perfectly without any modification, and all of my brass Samix parts bolted right up perfectly too. I have no stock plastic on either axle and the performance is far better than stock. The factory Traxxas internals dropped right in also. Lastly, i also installed a set of the Yeah Racing brass diff covers on these and they fit great too. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants to get rid of the stock plastic axle housings...

The only "negative" thing that Ive noticed is that with all the plastic now gone on my axles, I need to regularly check to make sure all the screws holding the links, shocks, brass hubs etc on stay tight. Even after using threadlock some of the screws still loosen some over time. Out of a current garage of 10 RC vehicles, this is the only one that I have this issue with... Im not sure why but just something to keep an eye on when installing these along with other non plastic axle parts on yout TRX-4.. Maybe because my Defender only tops out at about 12mph while all my others go at least 40 something haha.

Amazing fit. Good finish. They look even more real when they get scratched up. Using GPM Chubs and Portal mounts. They fit tight due to the coating used on both parts. Could easily dremel/sand the coating off in these areas if needed. Great way to add weight. Too much weight does not help in every situation, But the more you add the more "real" the truck will perform over obstacles. Nobody wants to see plastic bouncing across rocks. CRAWL!
