Chassis

The chassis design of the XRAY GTX8E is a masterclass in engineering, featuring CNC-machined Swiss aluminum that provides both rigidity and reduced weight while the strategically placed machining in low-stress areas minimizes mass without compromising strength! The chassis is also designed to accommodates aluminum bulkheads with extra openings for enhanced drivetrain cooling, significantly improving reliability over long runs! This innovative design also features a servo saver locking system to ensure the steering remains secure during chassis flex, further boosting durability in extreme conditions. The unique layout allows easy maintenance with mounting holes for the front suspension holder, keeping it intact during disassembly.

Drivetrain

The drivetrain components are engineered for superior performance and longevity. Central dogbone drive shafts offer reduced rotating mass for faster acceleration while also simplifying maintenance, high-volume gear differentials, with their large internal gears and extra oil capacity, provide smooth operation, ensuring better control during long runs and easy to access differentials thanks to the aluminum bulkhead design, which requires removing only a few screws while leaving the suspension in place! The drivetrain cooling is enhanced through the integration of aluminum bulkheads, extending the lifespan of crucial components by maintaining optimal temperatures.

Suspension

Designed for precision tuning and superior performance, the complete aluminum suspension system, including front C-hubs and rear uprights, offers fully adjustable geometry for a range of setups. The big-bore shock absorbers are threaded with adjustable collars for easy spring preload adjustments and feature Delrin® shock pistons for consistent damping. These shocks have 6-, 8-, and 10-hole options, making it easy to fine-tune for any track condition. Additionally, the suspension arms are crafted from Medium and Hard composite materials to enhance traction, while the aluminum shock extensions boost stability and cornering speeds.
