What are the Top 10 RC Cars for 2021
What are the best ready-to-run RC cars released this year? 2021 has seen its fair share of new bashers, speedrunners, and more, and out of all of them, we’ve picked our top 10 favorite cars that stood out the most to us. What are those cars? Well, let’s find out, starting in the Number 10 spot and working our way up the top 10 ready-to-run RC cars of 2021!
Top 10 RC Cars - Number 10 - Traxxas TRX-4 Ford Bronco
Starting us out in the Number 10 spot is a truck we’ve probably all seen before, but this particular version has something special. We’re talking about the TRX-4 2021 Ford Bronco from Traxxas. Under the hood is a standard TRX-4 truck with two-speed and remote lock differentials. It’s great equipment but not necessarily new for this year; instead, the greatness of this truck is all about the new officially licensed 2021 Bronco body. The new clipless body fastening system uses pinch tabs to hold and secure the body. This new style not only helps the body look more realistic because it’s hidden, but it’s also one of the fastest and most convenient ways to mount and remove a body. Ford Bronco is the only TRX-4 to include this fastening system, but I imagine more cars and trucks will include it in the future. The 2021 Ford Bronco TRX-4 is ready-to-run in two different colors for about $550 and requires a battery.
Scale: 1/10
Power Type: Electric - Uses one NiMH or LiPo battery and four AA batteries.
How fast is the TRX4 Ford Bronco? Around 12 mph
Top 10 RC Cars - Number 9 - CEN Ford F450 Dually Truck
For all your Super Duty towing hauling and big truck needs, there’s only one truck that comes to mind, and it’s the Ford F-450 SD KG1 edition custom dually truck from CEN Racing. If you’re familiar with the scale truck scene, you’ll understand this 1/10 scale truck and the scale realism it offers, making it great by itself and even better as a support truck for more complex RC projects. The new 2021 SD KG1 edition also provides updated scale wheels, updated shock bodies, and two new body colors. The body still retains the scale details and hard molded plastic accessories for increased realism but now adds a matte black finished drop bed to give it the appearance of a bed liner. This bed is also fully functional for projects, and if the optional aluminum trailer hitch is added, you can add the trailer of your choice to pull all your other radio control cars. You can find the CEN F450 SD KG1 ready-to-run for about $420, and it requires a battery.
Scale: 1/10
Power Type: Electric - Requires a 2S battery and four AA batteries for the transmitter.
How fast is the Cen Ford F-450? Around 16 mph
Top 10 RC Cars - Number 8 - Losi LMT Solid Axle Monster Truck
Solid axle monster truck fans say hello to the Losi monster truck, also known as the LMT. Now designed from the ground up, the LMT features a twin vertical plate chassis, long travel oil-filled shocks, and of course, a realistic solid axle design. Like actual monster trucks, the LMT also comes with front-wheel steering out of the box, but add a few parts separately, and the LMT can be a proper four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering monster truck—a feature especially helpful in making tight turns like in competition. The LMT styling looks fantastic with accurate recreation of the world-famous Gravedigger and Son of a Digger Monster Jam trucks to accompany these performance features. Each has matching wheels and appropriately sized treaded monster truck tires. A few extra realistic elements come from the tube cage under the body that hinges to the chassis for quick access and, of course, the driver sitting behind the wheel ready to go. You can find the Losi LMT ready-to-run solid axle monster truck for about $650, and it requires a battery.
Scale: 1/10
Power Type: Electric - Requires 2S or 3S LiPo battery and 4 AA batteries for the transmitter.
How fast is the Losi LMT? Around 34 mph

If you’re a fan of big old RC cars, then say hello to one of the biggest RC cars released in 2021—it’s the 1/6 scale trail truck known as the Axial SCX6. Featuring the licensed Jeep JLU Wrangler body. If you’re familiar with the 1/10 scale SCX-10 III you’ll understand the SCX6. It’s just proportionately bigger, so the truck and all the parts look familiar, just super-sized. The SCX6 is so big. It’s the largest vehicle Axial has ever made. On the SCX-6, you’ll find a proper link suspension solid axles with locked diffs and a functional hi-low two-speed transmission that is selectable on the included transmitter. The one-sixth scale body comes with many realistic accessories to mirror the real thing. These accessories include an interior set with a tube rollbar, molded door handles, and windshield wipers. Even the officially licensed BF Goodrich KM3 tires and black Rhino wheels add more realism to make this radio control Jeep as close to the real thing as possible. However, with its large 1/6th scale size and price tag, the SCX6 is meant for the most serious of R/C enthusiasts. Costing around $1100, and it requires a battery.
