The Venom Pro Duo AC/DC LiPO & NiMH Battery Charger features a monolithic vertical stance and saves valuable bench space by providing two complete charging circuits, each with its own dedicated 80W integrated power supply in a footprint equal to most single charger solutions. Having two dedicated power supplies in one compact package means both channels are able to receive 80W of power, ensuring you are not diluting your amp rate when charging a second pack.

As an added bonus, you will not need to haul that separate power supply out to the track anymore. Menu navigation is easy using the five-button control interface and brightly backlit LCD screen. All the most common battery chemistries are supported: LiPo, LiHV LiFe, Li-Ion, NiMH, NiCD, and Pb (lead acid) with a complete assortment of charge leads included in the box with two extra long balance leads to make safe charging in a LiPo sack effortless.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
I purchased this charger at my local HobbyTown mostly because I liked the vertical form factor. It's handy to be able to charge two packs at once. It has a menu structure that I've seen in a lot of other chargers, and performs the basic charging and discharging functions. Through the menu I was able to disable the annoying keypress sounds and tweak some limits on charge time as a safety against some unexpected charging behavior.

I was puzzled why I could never charge LiPo batteries for storage at more than one amp. I worked around this by balance charging my 5,000 mAh packs at 5a for 20-30 mins first to get them close to storage voltage.

It was annoying that the left and right sides of this charger are basically two separate chargers sharing the same display. If I created a program to charge a specific LiPo battery on the left side, it wasn't available on the right so I manually had to create the same program there.

After a few dozen packs the fans started having troubles, a loud grinding sound when first charging that would eventually settle down. This grinding lasted longer and longer, affecting both fans, until one fan died entirely. The Venom warranty is absurdly short. "Venom Group warrants all products to be free of material and workmanship defects for a period of 30 days* from date of purchase for all electronic components." Having replaced fans on RC cars and PCs I was confident I could replace the faulty fans here myself. However, the assembly of this unit made it virtually impossible to not destroy the front panel buttons when attempting to separate the halves of the case to access the fans.

After my experience with this charger, I'll be looking for a replacement from another manufacturer.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
I purchased one of these earlier this year, in store a few hours away. Got it home to find the switches were defective, called Venon, registered the warranty, they sent me a replacement, when I got it, the second I turned it on the fans let out a howl, bad bushings, call Venon, refused to do anything. So basically it's just some company in Idaho importing chinese junk with their brand stamped on it, and they don;t back it up any better than some off brand.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
I brought this charger on January 5th 2019 from my LHS. Used it maybe about a dozen times balance charging and to store done right in a climate controlled area. Channel one of the charger went out. Took it back to my LHS and they confirmed my issues and told me to call customer service... It took 2 days and 3 phone calls to get someone whom claimed to be the manager to respond. With my hat in my hand I explained to her my issue . I could feel “I don’t really give a crap” attitude while she was speaking. They offered me 30% off or basically $20 bucks off of a new one. Her attitude really turned me off and I declined her offer... So long Venom... I’ll be spending my money on another brand that actually has good customer service. I highly recommend you do the same.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
It's a great charger. But the cooling fan did not take long to wear out. It still works but the bushings are shot. The charger still works after maybe 2 years of owning at the time of this review.

I've had three, all three have one side that have failed. They have replaced them, but I don't recommend this charger.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
Its an ok charger but you can only store batteries more than 1amp. The discharge function is not much better as well. It takes forever to store batteries and its max is 7.0amps charging. It does the job but just know you will spend a full day and night storing batteries if you are running multiple classes.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
I bought the Venom pro duo because of all the positive reviews and great YouTube videos recommending this little charger.
Got mine and went to charge a couple of batteries to play with our Rustler and the second channel wouldn't work. We were soooo disappointed, but Amain Hobbies took care of us and sent another charger. Now the new one is working fine!!!!
THANKS AMAIN!!!!!!

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
I’ve only used it once so far ,it seemed to work well. The written directions are written in tiny print and not very clear at all,I recommend you do what I did and watch a youtube video on the initial set up because it’s a little confusing otherwise.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
Wow, this thing is great, I thought it would be hard to use but it took seconds to figure it out. I couldn't be happier after charging with USB chargers, what a difference in time. This charger is worth every penny.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
Ive had this charger about 4years now and initially did have the loud fan issues other were reporting. I was 30 days past my warranty and venom did replace it for free and actually gave me the better version which does LiHV when the fan finally died. For this last 3.9 years this thing has performed flawlessly charging up to 7amps, storage charging/discharging for hours on end. Good deal for $100. I do wish it would discharge or storage charge at higher then 1amp, but worth what I paid and the service was quick.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
Great charger for this price range. I have had mine for about 2 years now and I've had zero issues with it. The menu takes some time to learn which is the only negative I have noticed. My fans are still running great and I pray they don't start giving me trouble like some of the other post are having.

Venom Power Pro Duo AC/DC Battery Charger (6S/7A/80W)
Best charger I've ever used. I love the fact that it has a 12V power port and I can power
it from my Master Caddy field box. Also has a great selection of leads.
