Vanquish Products VS410 Pro Aluminum VFD Hurtz Shifter 3-Position Dig (Silver)

Works like it should. Set it and forget it. Make sure to get the longer 24mm Vanquish servo horn with this. I’m using this Dig in my VS410 Ultra with a standard size servo, and battery tray in place.

This looks nice, but the design allows it to get filled with debris. The cog that locks on to the transmission output shaft doesn't set even no matter how much you adjust it. The cogs fight to engage, and rarely do in a reasonable amount of movement. After installing a Treal aluminum case and full size servo on the stock Capra dig, it works (easily) 5x better than the Vanquish dig. It effortlessly engages and releases. With the Vanquish...half the time in engages, the other half you hear your servo wind. This burnt up my Reef99 servo also that was running a servo (not) saver. Needless to say, I'm out nearly $140 because of this damn dig and that servo.

I have had this for about a month now and it is as tough as nails and smooth as silk. You move your AUX switch to what you want it to do and it does it without hesitation, clunking, chattering, missed shifts. Nor is there anything special that you have to do to make the DIG unit do select any of its three options. There is only one thing that you should do to the unit when installing and that is to make sure that you do not bind your shift arm when setting up the end stop travel of the DIG unit. This caution is the same caution that you take when setting up your steering servo with the proper end travel for your vehicles steering. You should also tune the DIG to get as much travel out of the locking lugs to lock together with as much metal as possible to prevent chipping the locking rotors. If you do not get this just right, you probably will not do much or if any damage because I believe that the locking hubs are made from Chrom-Molly steel. When you are all done installing the unit, and if done properly, you will not have to make any further adjustments. I have been heavily using my DIG for a month and everything is still as I set it. There is just one thing more and that is try and slow down a little before selecting one of the shift options. The slowing down will help the unit to select one of the three option choices. Just take your time installing and ENJOY!

The Dig unit itself is very high Quality,works great like it should.
Issues 1. installation instruction in package were for the old dig setup, had to watch you tube for instructions ( Thanks Harley Designs)and 2. Battery Tray cannot be installed with the Dig system,(Servo arm will not clear the bottom of battery tray)I had to do some mods to make it work. still barley clears battery tray.
