Been in the hobby 25 years. This is by far my favorite. No not a Traxxas band wagon. I have several of RC vehicles all different brands. The only thing I changed was steering servo. Great investment.

Wow what a nice big bunch of awesomeness. It is big, but honestly it gets small quickly once you head off into a field of unknown rock height and dip depth...
Have only run it for a few weeks but it has been my go-to for fast, fun runs chasing turkeys on 20+acres. If you have a larger area like this to run in the XMaxx is awesome and the size becomes necessary. At a minimum I grab my E-Revo2.0 if not this XMaxx for anything out in the grass or over larger terrain features.
It can be fun on 6s, but yeah spring for some nice 6000mAH to 6700mAH 4s packs and get all you can out of her.

It's a very big very powerful truck. I've already addressed some of its weak points. Rear axel carriers by rpm. And rpm body protecters and roof skids..The stock steering servo is kinda weak and that's my next upgrade that will be coming soon. Overall I'd say it's a very well built monster of a truck. Price is kinda high. This is my honest opinion. I think for the price it shouldn't need a steering servo upgrade out of the box..

I like traxxas and I have Many models. They aren’t cheap most parts a good and others are not so good like their servos with the plastic gears. My TRX4 mini servo gears stripped very easily. My XMAXX I’ve only had about an hour running total combined on 2 occasions and the steering servo stripped. No you think spending $1000 on a RC vehicle it would be more durable than that. I’ve watched videos on YouTube and the steering servo sometimes comes broken out of the box Brand New. Call Traxxas and they wanted to send me new plastic gears after I open it to confirm the gears were actually stripped I didn’t even bother. So every time I buy a Traxxas vehicle I scrap the plastic servo for metal gear servo. Traxxas servo‘s in my opinion the plastic ones at least is their biggest downfall

Love this Truck and the color ! I got orange it is massive! Loads of fun! Update had this for almost a year now and its just as fun as the first day I got it! Did lose a tire recently due to foam bunching up in one tire and added a few minor upgrades changed the steering servo put the HD arms on just for the color orange not needed though. Love it!

Local hobby shop took 2 weeks to tell me itd be 3 months to get an orange x-maxx to the bush Alaska (thousand bucks plus). Got pissed and called A-MAIN HOBBIES 5 minutes later and got my orange xmaxx to my door in less than a month. (For bush Ak this was awesome!) Had to pay 120 for shipping but received a 60 dollar credit and 60 dollars off so shipping was basically free. Furthermore i had needed to cancel an item on the order i decided i didnt need but it was the weekend. I left a message and immediately after they received the message i got an email saying what i wanted was done!!! Super easy very helpful sales people (WHO SPEAK FLUENT ENGRISH THAT I CAN UNDERSTAND!!!)

If youre in Alaska dont orderfrom house of hobos in Anchorage.... just call a-main and they HOOK YOU UP!!!

It’s fun to play with could have used some better parts from the beginning for the price of the RC. Better steering servo upgrade. Get away from the traxxas hubs and put regular 24mm hubs on it so it will inter change with all of the other brands. But overall it is a great rc.

This truck is a beast runs awesome wheelies at command not like other cars that wheelie and can’t be handled. If you buy this truck keep in mind getting a new servo. I was outside playing with my truck and in the first 40 minutes the servo broke. And now I have to wait a whole week for a new servo to arrive. I wrote traxxas about the issue and they told me to buy the servo gears. Because i would have to pay the parts from them for a brand new car that has less than a hour in it. I ordered the Protek 370tbl crawler servo and the servo adapter. 600oz/in of torque should be enough for those 8 inch tall tires. Amain has better customer support out of all the companies . Amain Rocks!!!!!! I will give 3 stars because of The servo also the rear bearings suck 40 minutes of run time and the bearing protector fell off.
