Portal Axle Overview:

Traxxas® TRX-4M™ Assembled Portal Axle Set. This is an optional set of front and rear portal axles intended as an upgrade for the Traxxas TRX-4M 1/18 Micro Rock Crawler. This set is designed to increase the center ground clearance by 10.5mm and the track width by 9mm, offering a greater level of off-road crawling capability. This set includes all metal portal gears and self-lubricating bushings for durable and long-lasting performance. With updated transmission gears to maintain the stock speed and torque, these axles come completely assembled and ready to install right out of the package. The included red gears can be used with the standard single-speed transmission, while the optional blue gears are intended for the Traxxas TRX-4M Two-Speed Transmission (TRA9891) available separately.

Note: Portal axles are not compatible with TRA9776R low-range gears.

Traxxas TRX-4M Assembled Portal Axle Set (Front/Rear)
A little pricey but well worth the money.
Eliminated torque twist on my TRX4M Bronco and raised the height enough to get over some rocks I was previously unable to clear.
They also make the truck look better IMO.
