Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
What a fun truck! It’s quicker than you would think which is a good part of the fun. The wide stance keeps it on its feet and handles pretty well. The lights are bright so you can easily drive at night. I found the truck well put together and no adjustments were necessary. It’s been reliable too. I would suggest you use the Traxxas lipo so you have more run-time and a bit more speed. The standard tires make it better for harder surfaces. I’d like to suggest for Traxxas to have softer tires available for better handling in softer ground or if you want to crawl. Only critique l have is related to the lay down suspension and is the same critique as on the full-size Summit: as you accelerate, the back end of the truck dips down. And this is really more about how the truck looks as you use it. It doesn’t affect the performance of the truck. Overall, this is an absolutely fun truck to drive!

Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
Great product!

Overall happy with the quality and design, as per the usual with Traxxas products. The lights are nice, and it handles really rough terrain surprisingly well. I use this truck for FPV, highly recommend. It's very stable and with 45wt shock oil, glides over bumps to keep the camera steady. Handles rough terrain way better than the mini e revo IMO.

Only complaint with it is the ESC/motor combo. My ESC goes into thermal shutdown once every run or so on 2s lipo. There's no binding in the transmission or motor, it just gets quite hot, even the motor. I think it comes geared too tall stock. The ESC should have a bigger heat sink and it would do a lot better, but it usually doesn't shut down.

Fun little truck, a little slow stock for normal bashing, but for FPV or new drivers, a great and tough option that just works well. 4/5 stars because of the heat issues, but those can be resolved with minor changes. No real issues with it so far.

Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
Just finished using it. Out of all the vehicles I own, I'm leaving this stock. It's fast enough for what it is, goes off roading in short grass well, and the lights are bright enough to see it for those nice night runs. Plus I think I could let a beginner to intermediate person use this. Amain made my week by delivering this a day early.

Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
Traxxas Rc are a good quality company and have a lot of good trucks, cars, ect. I have a 1 /8 I built brushless and I love it. so I ordered a 1 /16 scale and it looks great the lights at night just awesome. the down side is after only one use no jumps. the rear tires are so far out of alinement it looks and handle bad. I seen videos about trying to adjusting the. but I can't seem to get them straight again. and for the price almost $300 I'm a little bummed should be better adjustable links. So has much has I like and want to like this summit. I don't !!! and will return or sell it. the review is about letting others know what my thoughts on this car. best of luck.

Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
This was my first hobby grade rc. I wanted something I could hike trails with. The servo failed on the first battery pack. I ended up returning it for a TRX4 Sport. In hindsight it was a fun little truck. Now I would have just fixed the servo and kept it. I would not recommend this as a first rc. Get a TRX4 or Arrma anything and learn to upgrade and fix stuff later.

Fun little truck for what it is. When sitting next to the 1/10 scale it looks like a micro machine. ??

Traxxas Summit 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Rock n Roll)
Truck ran great for ten minutes in the grass next to the local baseball field, then I heard the steering servo making a lot of noise when turn left only.. So I bought a savox full metal servo thinking that I must of done something wrong initially. Now the rear diff is shot, only front tires pull when I try to accelerate. so I've had the truck for nine days now and I've driven it a total of five times, after I replaced the servo.. I'm pretty upset that this product is given me such grief. I am running a 20c 1200miah 2S lipo. I changed the esc to the low power cut off "green light" but I don't think running this truck a handful of times warrants these types of issues, a hub carrier ok I smashed into something, an a arm ok I went way to big, but a rear diff on grass and gravel and a steering servo on grass come on! I love traxxas products! but this truck for being only the brushed isn't very solid.. I bought a traxxas rustler vxl run it on 2s take to my bmx track here in Molalla and over shoot everything with ease and its solid AF! Maybe its time for some new cv's their showing some wear. My brother took my Rustler with the other gearing option included with my vxl with my 2s battery and hit a curb full throttle at about, and I'm guessing here 45 mph and the rustler almost runs better couple scratches but nothing wrong with it. my slash vxl 2wd is also a beast took it to the track had the spring spacer "the big one" on and over shot the big camel back pretty good the shock cap came of but no oil spilled just screwed it back on. So what I'm saying is how can I fly two trucks so far and their fine but I take the summit out to the field of grass and daisy's and its breaking left and right. Initially this summit was one of my favorites.. "Was"
