This is an optional Traxxas Rear Steel Constant-Velocity Driveshaft Set, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Slash 4X4 and Slash 2wd 1/10 scale short course trucks, as well as the Traxxas Rally. Traxxas Steel Constant Velocity Shafts offer the ultimate in torque handling and efficient power transfer. The outer U-joints are lubricated and sealed by a rubber boot for maximum protection against the elements, and the U-joint pins are held captive so you never have to worry about losing a pin. Gleaming nickel-plated shafts and blue silicone boots add a custom look.

July '13 - Got mine and instead of reading this, order them, NOW! BY FAR the BEST cv driveshafts for your slash (mine is 2wd). The only thing that could make these better is replacement pieces. I've had mip and others and these are worth every penny! Oct '13 - UPDATE: Still best ever upgrade for your slash ever! ZERO complaints ZERO issues! I may never need to replace these driveshafts EVER! Apr '14 Still look brand new best upgrade period!

Oct '18 - Still running the same set of axles. I have had to replace a few boots here and there but these things are like five years old now and have been through serious bashing and racing. Please don't use these on a 2wd Rustler or Stampede, Traxxas has longer ones for those models = TRA1951R

Also rebuild kit available: TRA6757

!Axle Shear Beware!

After Running 2 batteries(2s lipo) thru my nearly stock Traxxas Slash 4x4 I sheared an axle. I landed a pretty basic jump at my local track, and my wheel just *pop* and continued down the track. You can't replace the axle with any other, it's one solid part(basically). I do believe I received a dud though. As the other one is still working fine. The only wear I've seen is the rubber boot popping off the joints. (meh).

So 2/5 stars since one is still intact for now.

UPDATE 2 days later.....

Running again at my local track...

My other driveshaft has now failed.
Lost the pin out of the ball joint that connects to the differential block rendering it useless.

I'm currently contacting both HobbyTown and Traxxas to help resolve this issue, as these are complete trash.

*If you want to throw away 60 bucks this is a good way to do so.*
Wish I could rate a it a 0.

Great upgrade better than the stock plastic or the upgraded heavy duty plastic drive shafts.

just installed them yesterday and the driver side axle lasted about 20 minutes. they are strong but the boots slip off and the pins go flying and they fall apart. just need to find a fix to keep the boots from sliding off.

I own lots of these driveshafts and have been running them for a long time. There high quality and are worth the money. There only compatible with what Traxxas list them for, if your looking for driveshafts for a Summit search "Summit driveshafts" Traxxas makes them. Amain sells all replacement parts for these driveshafts including the boots so rebuilds arn't an issue.

Half shaft not sold separately, good product without parts support. MIP have shaft and separate parts for servicing

These look great. I just want to make sure they are long enough to fit ProTrack Slash 2WD with stock transmission. Anyone know?

To answer your question about using them on the summit, I do not believe they are long enough because they are meant for the Slash, which is much narrower than the Summit. I do not own these so I can't rate them; just ignore my rating.
