Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Black)
I bought this truck the day it came out from a hobbytown store. It broke while testing in the house at about 10mph. I fixed it with new gears in the steering servo. The next time i used it was a cold day. I hit a curb going 10mph and snapped the front toe links. Traxxas didn't have the parts so had to use ebay. I'm giving up with this truck. Waste of money don't buy it.

Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Black)
Bought this from my local traxxas dealer 1st 5-10 minutes of run already have a bad clicking noise found out the rear diffs are junk from factory so going to be spending money on x01 conversion. Then the next pack few days later just running in my basement the servo failed. Would i buy another one of these no just get a arrma and leave traxxas in dust is all i have to say

Worst car from traxxas i have ever had. reason i stayed away from traxxas for 5 years. i decided to get this mini because it had 1/10 electronics and diffs but its worse then i have ever thought.

Known issues wish i have known before buying is the bad diff and even worse chassis can snap pretty easily. stay away from this model tell traxxas has a recall and fixes all these issues

Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Black)
I purchased this at my local hobby shop on the day it was officially released before Thanksgiving. I was able to test it out of the box on Thanksgiving and the only knock is the lack of range the Traxxas TQ radio has. With a 22 tooth pinion gear, I was able to get 31 mph. The electronics were fine for what it is and that's a beginner level RC truck. Unfortunately, Traxxas misled consumers by saying it was VXL 3s ready. After seeing the YouTubers review it before I was able to get mine, I realized it was going to need a stronger drivetrain system if I was going to run it on 3s. Since I owned the truck I was able to use my Hobbywing Ez-Run Max10 G2 ESC and 3652G3 4300kV motor from another RC vehicle. With 2s I'm able to get 43mph. I replaced the servo to the Traxxas High Torque 330 (part number 2250) because the stock servo wasn't strong enough to use in snow because the steering bell crank gets packed with snow. It rips now in snow (plowed roads or less than an inch on the ground) or in the yard on grass. For the radio system, I just swapped out the Traxxas TQ system for a Futaba (receiver pulled from another vehicle). Now I have the range. It's a fun little truck and easy to take to different locations with my Traxxas Ez-Peak dual high output battery charger in one bag. One suggestion before using, service the differentials. I put 60k (I think it came with 60k) in the front and 30k in the rear. That might of helped to keep the stock planetary gears in tact. Now the frustrating part is waiting for Traxxas to have the center differential, aluminum driveshaft and rear pinion gear available. Amain, my local hobbyshop, and Traxxas don't have these parts yet. Once I'm able to upgrade the drivetrain, I'll run it on 3s.

Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Black)
It's a fun little car but there is one thing that gets under my skin. I thought traxxas had learned their lesson with their 2wd line that planetary differentials are crap and shouldn't be used. Ever. I've managed to break 3 in the the first month. Very disappointed with Traxxas on this matter. they should know better.

Traxxas Mini Maxx® Brushless 1/16 4WD RTR Monster Truck (Black)
Just picked mine up at my local Hobby store Definitely a great truck I replaced the servo right out of the box cause ANYONE that had done RC for a min knows Traxxas Servos are junk so upgraded to a Ecopower WP110T

People complaining about breaking chassis’s just can’t drive. You gotta be going full speed and hit a tree or something that’s not gonna move to break it.
