Traxxas Drag Slash LED Tail Light Set w/Power Harness (Black)

I really, really wish Traxxas had just gone ahead and installed these tail lights from the factory like they did the headlights. But since they did not, there is this kit.

The included sticky template has super aggressive adhesive, and like any sticker when you pull it off the backing sheet it will curl. And once any part of it touches the other curled part, you have a real big bummer on your hands! I carefully, slowly, peeled it off itself and ended up only tearing a little part of one end. I then placed the sticky template on the tailgate area and got it lined up pretty good.

Their is a trim piece that runs the whole length of the tailgate. In hindsight, I should have not bothered to install it. Because you have to drill 5 holes and if they are not 100% perfect, the trim piece does not line up perfectly with the tail light housings. The existing decal would have sufficed.

Cutting out the openings for the tail light housings with an Xacto #11 blade is risky as heck. One slip and you will be bleeding. Or one slip and you will gouge out an ugly, oversized opening. So take your time, and be super extra careful.

That said, I did a fairly decent job of it and yeah, it looks really nice and the LED's are lit up!

Like the headlight kit, this comes with zip tie anchors to route the wiring up inside the body out of harms way.
