Traxxas Blast 24" High Performance RTR Race Boat (Green)
Had to revise my initial 4stars to 2stars. I upgraded ecs so I could run 2s lipo. Speed was fine but the amount of water this boat takes on is ridiculous! Yes I used marine tape on canopy but that’s not where the water is comming in. It’s comming in all around where the top deck meets the hill. I have to pull out of the water every few minutes and hold it now down and the water just pours out of it! Horrible! Going to try and seal it all the way around and see if that helps any? Was gonna buy a spartan to have another boat but not sure now?

Traxxas Blast 24" High Performance RTR Race Boat (Green)
Good starter boat ... but keep dogbone and cup greased or friction will melt them. I already made an upgrade. 12t motor with 2s compatible speed control with new custom designed driveline no more plastic.Good choice to put dc charger as most people dont have lake in back yard. Good run time and fast enough to enjoy. There may be cheaper but i dont believe better supported by parts. Bought again 2 in my navy now

Traxxas Blast 24" High Performance RTR Race Boat (Green)
Update: Amain has no "ability" to refund or exchange this boat. I was advised to deal directly with Traxxas. I called them and they want to test it and see why the "water-cooling" is not working correctly. I expressed how dissatisfied I am with the item and all they offered was to do repairs. This will be the last time and first time that I ever buy Traxxas.

Comparing this to what my friend bought off of any of the main websites for $39, I'm super disappointed in this. Not only do you get just a DC charger, which you have to buy the adapter for the AC plug in which is another $28, but you also get a slow boat. It looks like there's a lot of output from the prop as you're operating it, but again compared to the $39 boat my neighbor owns, they are the same speed. And since his is so much cheaper and is only a 9-in boat, his looks far more fast than this while we raced on the still water lake. I don't know why but water is not going through the water cooled motor system as it should be. I blew through it and I do get some air pressure but it's really tight and I don't think it's operating correctly. Thankfully I own a yellow top optima battery in my car so I can leave the accessory on for hours on end and charge this boats battery. I'm torn on returning it.
