Traxxas Bigfoot No.1 Original BL-2S HD RTR 1/10 2WD Brushless Monster Truck w/BL-2S ESC & TQ 2.4GHz Radio

BigFoot is one of the best monter truck I’ve seen for this size and it’s very powerful. I got this for my son and he loved it.He plays every day with it and when he sleeps he’ll put his truck next to his bed.

On one hand I love the value - you get the beautiful clipless body, The rugged simplicity of the stampede, and brushless top end w 2 cell capability. Because of the brushless system the batteries last forever. If you're familiar with the XL5 stampede, I feel like a comparison with that is more fair, It is faster, But it doesn't have the same torque as the brushed. I was very fond of the XL five and I love how super quiet this one is, I don't think it's necessarily much better than brushed, but it is different. It will be easy to swap in a better ESC and I'll probably run the same motor at least for a while.

My big complaint and the thing I was worried about and I almost gave it three stars but it is a great truck, is that the Chevron monster tires one of them is out of balance badly, and I've seen videos where people have the exact same problem, it's super annoying and I hate running the stock tires but they look incredibly cool so it is kind of a bummer. I guess I could contact Traxxas and see if they want to send me one tire and wheel but I expect and pay for only top-notch products so I am a bit disappointed. I did buy this for the neighbor kids And other beginners so I'm not regretting the purchase, I just wish it was silky smooth on pavement, And it's not.

Compared to the upcoming four-wheel-drive Bigfoot, this is still going to be a better value. On that one for 350 you get four-wheel-drive but you get same power system and tq radio as well. You also don't get HD components, like this has. If you're in the market for Bigfoot I suggest this one if you're in the market for a four-wheel-drive stampede get the VXL.

It's a unique vehicle - for $260 and the looks I feel like it should get five stars. However because it shipped with the worlds cheapest out of balance wheels, (Which is a known and non-addressed issue) And really isn't fast enough for a brushless truck, Maybe closer to three stars? So I settle on four. Not without faults but for the money you will not regret your purchase.


I think if you're a Bigfoot fan buying this and putting $100 worth of ESC and upgrades would result in a much cooler truck than the four-wheel-drive option. I think if you just wanted 2 Wheel Dr. stampede buy the XL five and upgrade it.

One last thing I want to mention is these new BL2S trucks are really good for the beginners and the kids, fully floored they can go pretty good but in the mid range of throttle smooth and forgiving and the kids can learn to drive the cars under control. If you are a beginner or are buying for a beginner, I think the BL2S is a great system.
