Traxxas Aluminum 17mm Wheel Adapter Set (Blue) (4)
Avoid. This is my 3rd set ( 1st from AMain). All cross thread from day one. Poor manufacturing on the thread part anyway.

Traxxas Aluminum 17mm Wheel Adapter Set (Blue) (4)
These work well, but Traxxas puts a lot of thread lock on the 17mm wheel hub threads from the factory. If you don't clean up the threads, you risk stripping the 17mm aluminum wheel nuts. Tip, before installing your 17mm wheels for the 1st time: Heat up the thread lock, on the wheel hub threads, with a lighter or torch for about 15 - 30 seconds...Then thread the nut on (carefully), without burning yourself. Repeat as necessary, for each hub. Use a wrench or pliers to hold the 17mm hex that the wheel would ride on, to keep drive line from spinning, while chasing the wheel nut on & off the hub. This should clean up the threads enough to install your wheels, while keeping the benefit of the thread lock.

Traxxas Aluminum 17mm Wheel Adapter Set (Blue) (4)
After 3 battery cycles, I think it's safe to say I'm pretty well satisfied with this kit that I'm using with a set of MX28 Pro-line Badlands tires.
These seem well made, they fit very snug and holds tight. I would caution against NOT using locktite and letting that seal for a few hours at the minimum.
My adapter set seems just fine after I let the locktite sit on the screw threads for a while and then I took it out on various terrain.

Another important note I should add is to be very careful to thread the included blue fasteners slowly so it won't catch sideways and twist...it takes a bit of patience to get them perfectly threaded, but once you do so, just get a 17mm socket and ratchet it until it's well tightened onto the wheel. Same goes for the screws that go through the center of the adapter and onto the drifeshaft theads at the end--again, locktite is your best friend, and make sure to get those well tightened in.

These are a little on the pricey side, but it's not a bad deal either. I'm certainly happy with them and would purchase again.
