This Thermaltronics TMT-2000S Soldering System Combo is an AMain exclusive, with an included K Series handle and 80 series extra large 5.0mm chisel tip. The TMT-2000S is a professional grade, lab quality soldering system that uses Curie Heat Technology. This means the iron responds to the thermal demands of each solder joint and instantly adjusts the heat supplied to the tip. So no more guessing whether or not your rheostat is set to the right temperature - the TMT-2000S automatically raises or lowers the temperature to meet the exact requirements of the component and solder material. This also helps to prevent burns and other soldering related accidents, as the self regulating system will not get hot until it touches a metal component.

Another benefit of the Thermaltronics system, is the easy to change tips! These tips do not use a mechanical attachment like other irons and allow the tips to be swapped in seconds. Simply grab the tip using the included tip removal pad, pull the tip out of the handle, place it into the hand-piece holder, choose the tip you need to use and slide it into the handle.

Additionally, the heat range of the iron is determined by the tip you choose. Type 60 tips operate within a 617°F - 676°F temperature range (325°C - 358°C), Type 75 operate within a 662°F - 748° range (350°C - 398°C), and Type 80 operate within a 788°F - 887°F range (420°C - 475°C). This combo includes an 80 series 5mm chisel tip, as this is the most commonly used size for most RC applications. Additional tips are available separately, and can be added to your cart using the menu above.

This package includes a 2000S power supply, K series hand-piece, 80 series 5mm chisel tip, hand-piece holder, tip removal pad, brass tip cleaning curls and tip cleaning sponge, power cord and connection cable.

Thermaltronics TMT-2000S Soldering Iron Station Combo
This soldering station is amazing!! At first I was very confused with how the Wattage, kilowatt, and megahertz thing was rated. What you know about old school watt rating should go out the window. Once I did my research, I chose between the 9000s and the 2000s. I then needed to find out which would serve me best. All the professionals I could find said I would be fine with the 2000 S. Being a man who always wants more power, I was set on the 9000s. I went out and was flying my nitro heli and blew up my OS 105 hzr and needed a rebuild. Soldering station; problem solved. The RC budget now said the 2000s was the one for me but I continued to second guess myself. I ordered the 2000s and it arrived 3 days later. As soon as I got it I tried soldering 8 gauge wire. The 2000s did it so quick I was amazed. The largest wire I will solder is 10 gauge on a 200 amp speed control I am very happy I made this choice. Unless you’re a professional using it 24 hours a day, the 9000s is way over kill. The 2000s tips are less expensive, too. You can save your money and buy more tips. The 2000s can solder anything in the hobby world. Best soldering station I have used hands down. You will be amazed and NEVER disappointed choosing the 2000S!!

Thermaltronics TMT-2000S Soldering Iron Station Combo
I have used it very little, but this is the BEST soldering iron I have ever owned. Tip, stays in great shape due to it cooling down when not in use. I expect it to last a long time. Very happy with it

Thermaltronics TMT-2000S Soldering Iron Station Combo
This thing is amazing. I just received my Station today. My old Weller just wasn't heating up and making quick work of wiring jobs anymore. This thing automatically turns itself on and off when you pull it out of its holster and heats up in seconds when you pull it out. A must buy and worth the extra money for the safety features. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Thermaltronics TMT-2000S Soldering Iron Station Combo
This might sound 'strange' to some people, but, the Thermaltronics 2000S is the EASIEST soldering iron I have EVER used. I have a fairly high-end "rework station" (soldering iron, plus hot air), and, while fairly advanced (individual on/off switches for each side, main on/off switch on the back, individual temperature controls for each component, etc), it doesn't come close to the accuracy of the TMT-2000S. I'm already considering selling my "old" soldering station (by "old", I've had it for less than a year), as I fully intend to ONLY use the TMT-2000S. If you haven't already ordered one, quite reading, and get it ordered. I promise, you will NOT be disappointed...and, on that extremely rare chance you are, you can always send it to me. I've had three previous soldering irons, and this one is, by far, THE BEST.

Best soldering iron I've ever owned. It heats up within 3 or 4 seconds and is ready to go. Ive owned it for about 3 years. No Problems at all. (Yellow tip is the best all around and the red tip is beast mode)
