Tekno RC NT48 2.0 Offset Brake Cam Set
If you have first gen nb48 2.0 this is a must! This really helps out with brake cam alignment and dead band. I have more of a brake response. Once again it is a must.

Tekno RC NT48 2.0 Offset Brake Cam Set
Thank you to the 1 prior review for recommending this for people still running the NB48 2.0. I stumbled upon his review by chance and otherwise didn't know the brake cams ever changed, and there was no other info out there that I could find. I've since made a post on RCtech forums showing the difference, which is that these updated brake cams have a much more aggressive lobe profile compared to the old ones. Where the old ones were a slow, progressive ramp shape, these are more like a box shape so they grab much earlier in the pull.

My brakes worked great when I first built it back in 2020 (4 years ago), but not long after that, the plastic center diff mounts wore in (where the cams push from) and the braking really diminished.

Setting radio EPA to pull the cam linkages further helps some, but it doesn't take much center diff mount plastic wear before the brake linkages are needing to be pulled so far that they're out of their working range (twisting beyond 45 degrees from neutral/disengaged).

These updated brake cams still wear-in the center diff mount plastic, but the quicker lobe profile compensates for it, making the brakes work much better for much longer (indefinitely perhaps? Kinda feel like once the plastic gets worn in, it's not wearing much more and it'll retain that shape for the long-haul).
