Kit completed in about 15 hours.
Ride height is high on the front till those springs break in. There are various ways of doing this, compress them overnight, just run the buggy etc. some people complain of that..itl sit at about 27mm with fuel and battery having the spring adjusters all the way at 0 adjustment when brand new and stuff. Itl wear in.
I didn't mind it myself. She's wearing in fine so far. Two track days in on it. Down to 25 which is about where I usually set my front. Sometimes a tick lower.
Practiced at Tarcar with it today. All good.
Steers better than my EB482.1
Handles the track and bumps just fine on box setup, I did go to 0 camber in the rear for better dig. -2 degree of toe does fine for me. Might bump it up to -2.5 when I become a better driver.
Been into RC for over 2 decades. This is my first nitro buggy and I've wanted one for 24 years. It doesn't disappoint.
I just started racing 3 months ago. Decided to go Tekno, couldn't find a nitro anywhere and grabbed one of the last EB482.1s I could find.
Cannot go wrong with Tekno. They're built like tanks. I have not broken a single thing on either car and boys....I've crashed mega hard with both.
Any other car would need rebuilt or a partial rebuild after 1 hard cartwheel or 1 slap of a steak that holds the conduit to the tracks.
Not Teknos. Tighten the c hub screws here n there. Check your turnbuckles and balls for slop, swap bearings. Replenish fluids. That's it.
These don't break parts like the other glass cars. And they handle well too. Real well. They handle better than I can drive by far. I'm getting better though. First race is this Sunday..I may skip it. Went to practice today and it's an Adam Drake event at Tarcar Toledo(my local track, I'm an hour away) it was mega busy. Fast guys, team drivers, and pros were there today.
I ain't ready for the wolves yet lol.
I'm actually getting rid of the losi stuff. Can't find parts like I need to.
Phasing out my kyosho stuff.
Phasing out most everything other than Traxxas, and Tekno. (I know I know, but Traxxas cars are fine for the kids and I can always get parts) Working on swapping to all Tekno.
Gonna get MTs and SCTs for the kids I do believe.
Again I'll say. You cannot go wrong with Tekno. Best chassis I've ever ran in 20 years hands down. No comparison on reliability or all around toughness.
