This is a pack of four Tekno RC Lightened 12mm Wheel Hexes. These wheel hexes are durable, light and inexpensive when compared to CNC aluminum hexes. They are a stock replacement part for the SCT410.3, but can be used on the original SCT410 as an optional upgrade as well. Package includes four wheel hexes and four set screws.

Tekno RC Lightened 12mm Wheel Hexes (4)
Not sure if I'm the only one, but on my SCT410.3 I just built I have these hubs stock. I purchased 3 sets of DE racing wheels and some different tires, and glued them up prior to fitting them to the truck as the wheels are for that truck. Turns out I cant get them on. It's like the wheels have a 11.5 mm hex or these are just a touch bigger than 12mm. I have a set of Proline wheels that fit fine, as well as a set of Axial's. Now I've got 3 nice new sets of wheels and tires that dont seem to fit for some reason... I'll eventually get them on there, but just beware that some wheels may not drop right on.

Also, the instructions tell you not to tighten then set screw very hard, but I kept pulling at least one hex off every time I took a set of wheels off. I tightened them down a bit more and one of them cracked right at the set screw. It's my fault but I really wasnt twisting on it very much when it cracked. I've ordered the standard clamping hexes this time to try them out...

Tekno RC Lightened 12mm Wheel Hexes (4)
Same exact experience as the other reviewer - these were on a 2nd hand sct410.3 i bought, and they fell off when i removed the wheels. the set screw is terrible. i tightened one, put the wheel on, took it off and hex fell off again lol... and funny enough, i also have new DE trini wheels that you really have to cram on and it can be a pain if the hex isn't lined up, which you can't see but have to feel. The best part is that when you take the DE wheel back off, it pulls the hex off along with it and is stuck inside of the wheel. As a comparison I put the DE wheel on my Losi SCTE and it was a tighter fit than the other wheels (not sure what brand they are) so it seems DE made their wheels slightly smaller hex cutout for a more snug fit to resist stripping out. I'm guessing the standard clamp style hexes would fit better.
3 stars because they seem to be made well, but the set screen comes loose too easily.
If you just need metal hexes to resist rounding out and don't care about them falling off when you remove a wheel then this is the cheap way to go. Otherwise i'd go with the clamping style preferably.
