Tekno RC EB410/ET410 Aluminum Emulsion Shock Caps (2)
Be sure to read the NOTE. That these shock caps require TKR1248 – M2x4mm Cap Head Screws and TKR6714 – Emulsion O-ring Set.

Guess I didn't see the NOTE about this cause I read the build guide that said option part number for caps of TKR6712A and just searched on it and added to cart. I was just looking under it at Related Products and seen that I needed the o-rings TKR6714. Other then that looks like they will work great.

As far as the fit and function, these caps themselves are great. Well, mostly. Except that the clearance for the flange nut that secures the shocks in place is definitely not enough. Just like the stock caps, you have to tilt the rear shocks into the lower arms to get the flange nut secure and a nut driver around it. cmon guys, check your clearances, you have to seriously force a nut driver onto the tower side mount if you already have the shock attached to suspension arm in the rear.

The big thing is that these should not be essential, upgrades should be optional. And the stock parts are HORRIBLE. They are inexcusably bad. The o-ring on the bleed screws has no supporting wall in the cap on the outside, so it cant be compressed at all, and cant form a decent seal. And the stock plastic ones cant handle the pressures inside the shock on rough landings, I hade a shock cap blow off after somewhat hard hit, but the cap was totally intact as was everything else, it just blew off from pressure in the shock. And it was nowhere near as hard a hit as I know this car can take.

Stock parts need to be atleast functional. Rating these aluminum caps, the absurdity of the original parts drags the rating waaay down. These should be included, the car isn't functional without them.

Tekno RC EB410/ET410 Aluminum Emulsion Shock Caps (2)
One of the best upgrades Ive added to both my EB410.2 and ET410.2. The stock plastic shock caps are easy to cross thread if you arent carefull, and for how often I like to change shock settings I knew I would want the aluminum caps from the beginning. Plus every RC I build that comes with any plastic shock parts always gets aluminum upgraded parts whenever available as I just prefer them to plastic. Just like the bigger 1/8 Tekno aluminum shock parts, the quality and fit/finish of these caps is perfect. Couldnt be happier and I would 100% buy them again and recommendedthem to anyone who buys the EB or ET410 series vehicles..

Tekno RC EB410/ET410 Aluminum Emulsion Shock Caps (2)
The plastic caps popped right off after a 3rd day at a 1/8 scale RC track.

Purchased these and was pleased with the high quality, and very good sealing despite re-using the o-rings and bleeder screw. A must if you’re running your SC on bigger jumps.

One thing to note, the nut on top of the shock is difficult to get with sockets that have thick walls. Had to use one of my Snap-On semi deep 5.5mm socket to get to it. I don’t think this is a deal breaker at all though. Worst case I grind down one of those cheap Harbor Freight sockets.
