This is an optional Team Losi Racing Hi-Performance Clear Short Course Body. This aftermarket body will improve the performance of the Losi XXX-SCT, Ten-SCTE, Team Losi Racing 22SCT or any other 1/10 scale short course truck by allowing air to pass through release holes in the body during flight. This will reduce the "parachute effect" and improve downforce and stability for excellent high and low speed cornering. This body has been trimmed at the factory and has all the air release holes pre-cut! No need to perform this tedious and time consuming task any longer.

Features:

  • Designed and tested for high performance handling
  • Specially designed air outlets reduce the "parachute effect" by directing the flow of air outward, providing improved jumping and air handling characteristics
  • High downforce design for improved corner speed, stability, and improved drivability
  • Pre-cut eliminating the need for the tedious and time consuming process to be done by hand
  • .040" Lexan for improved reliability and durability
  • Covered by a thin film that prevents over-spray from effecting the outside of the body
  • Pre-cut Window Masks included
  • TLR, grill, and tail light sticker sheet included
  • Side dams and hardware included
  • Clear body, requires painting

The body was precut perfectly, looks great and seems high quality but not very durable. A few rolls on the track and cracks appeared pretty quickly. This is a nice looking body but it is very brittle. Would not recommend

Body looks great but it is very thin, I rolled my truck first lap out and the body snapped in half along the window line. It’s just to thin to take any kind of damage.

TLR does BY FAR the best and most precise factory body trimming of any other vehicle or accessory brand. I’ve purchased and built 8 new TLR kits over the last 18 months or so, and along with each one of them I always grab at least one extra stock TLR body as well as any other JConcepts, ProLine, Bittydesign etc bodies that my local RC shop has at the time. So basically in the last year and half or so I’ve prepped and painted nearly 20 TLR bodies, and while I will say that I’ve only purchased or used maybe 3 or 4 other precut bodies from other companies that I’m using as a comparison, but I can say with confidence that a blind person could easily tell the difference in the precision and quality of the cut job between every one of the TLR bodies I’ve used and the other handful of bodies I used from other companies. TLR seems to use a tool that melts the lexan to cut it, or maybe a laser of some sort but it’s obviously done by a machine as every body was cut along every line perfectly, completely impossible to replicate with lexan scissors and knife. The 3 Proline bodies I’ve bought that were pre cut were obviously either done by a human sitting at a desk or with a machine that wasn’t nearly as precise as what TLR uses. The Ford pickup body they make for the UDR only comes pre cut, and it was so terrible I was convinced that it was a joke and someone at ProLine made a bet with another employee to see if the unlucky person who dropped around 70.00 thinking that the precut would save them time would either call in to complain or ask for a replacement, or if they would just send the body back with a request asking ProLine to no longer have the residences of the local nursing home do all the trimming on the bodies during their weekly craft time as it’s pretty obvious who ever cut my UDR body had absolutely no business handling sharp tools as they were either 92 years old with Parkinson’s, 4 years old and were using toy scissors, or the employees were playing a drinking game where all the people who were trimming bodies would race with every body and everyone who finished after the fastest guy each time had to chug a tall boy of malt liquor. Looking at my UDR body I would guess that it was “finished” somewhere around 8 to 10 beers into the game. It was seriously so bad that I could have done a better job using only my teeth while blindfolded.

Team Losi Racing Hi Performance Pre-Cut Body (Clear)
Got back into RC after 25 years a few months ago, only 2wd buggy experience. I decided to get a 4wd SC Mod (Tekno) and chose this body. I've had to learn this new class (power, 4wd, weight, truck, etc.), so everything has been punished pretty well. 2 months racing or practicing weekly at various indoor/outdoor tracks (clay/dirt/sand).

It's held up very well. Early on the channels along the rear fender (where lexan feels thinnest) both cracked. Gradually then as other's have said the finders cracked at the rear along the radius where the fender meets the bed. This last weekend I was particuarly rough on it and also had another truck run about full speed into the body as I was waiting for a marshall. It cracked several places.

My suggestion is pre-reinforce the fender channels, rear fender/bedline radius, and possible along the rear roof line and vents. That I can tell, this body has performed excellently as far as parachuting, I don't feel like the truck is floating excessively although wind gust can have an affect on it.

4 stars because of the thinner lexan along the channel "dips" that run along the fender. I'm sure I will buy this body again.

I am on my second body now, the first one lasted about a month of pretty hard bashing (learning how to drive a sct for the first time) and is still useable but is getting cracks along the edges near the corners of the truck. I think the holes that I cut where the rear tail lights would be are maybe unnecessary since they weakened that area of the body and I had to cut the rear fenders down significantly when they cracked through. This shouldn't happen. Otherwise I think this body looks far better than any of the other current options, and definitely reduces aero drag through the air with all of the holes in it in comparison to the v1 scte body.

its a great body because you don't have to cut anything out and the body feels really planted also i think it looks pretty cool to but its a bad body because all it does is crack and break. I literally put it through one 5 min heat with one minor little roll from a pipe and the fenders were cracked and one of the rear vents was cracked. I will still be buying these but TLR needs to fix their lexan, its not that thin but it feels brittle.

Got this body for my XXX-SCT, mainly for bashing. The lexan is a little thin, but it's still very strong around all the cut outs. Speaking of the cut outs, they definitely do there jod. There still is a little bit of parachuting, but not nearly as much as the stock body One of the downfalls is that it doesn't fit the XXX perfectly. That causes a lot of cracking in the lexan at the back of rear fenders. I'm planing on getting another one for racing. I would recommend this body.
