Team Losi Racing 22 Complete Metal G2 Gear Diff

This is a huge improvement over the last generation gear diff. While I liked the previous gen diff, it looked more like a fine timepiece and the outdrives were held on with set screws that backed out even with some loctite.

What you see is what you get. As is, this is a great diff. The one minor issue is solved with the aluminum diff cover. If you frequently maintain your diff, then its unnecessary. I build mine and leave it alone for a little while, so the aluminum diff cover does seem to seal better with minimal added weight. Especially with stock racing, rotational weight/mass is crucial. Metal internal gears with a plastic outer gear is a good compromise. The parts are cheap to replace when they wear out. Buy a couple of spare parts and set them aside. Besides, there is likely to be another generation along to replace this one at some point.

In short, buy with confidence.

Well it's not a "complete metal" gear differential if the included case is still plastic. Whole reason I ordered the full kit vs just the metal gears is because I thought I was getting a metal diff case as well. :(
