The Team Associated RC10 B6.3D Team 1/10 2wd Electric Buggy Kit continues the trend of refinement and reliable performance set forth by its predecessors. With a wide-pivot rear end and chassis-mounted servo mount, the RC10B6.3D is unmatched in stability and confidence.
Performance isn’t the only category that has been improved for this generation; durability has also taken a step forward by resolving issues such as bending wing mounts, steering bellcrank screw breakage, and excessive steering linkage play. Additional features designed with the racer in mind: an integrated transponder mount, +4mm shock rod ends, tie-rod battery brace hardware and linkage are included, 2-wire and 3-wire containing clips, rear shock tower guards, and a redesigned smooth front shock tower guard to cover the exposed screw heads so they won’t pack with dirt.
The B6.3D is the clay/dirt variant which includes both 3-gear Layback and Laydown Stealth transmissions for tuning weight bias, 19mm Octalock slipper pad (premium LCF pad material included in kit!), standard length chassis, aluminum chassis weight for under the ESC, and our tried-and-true ball differential. The kit setup has been optimized so you can have a competitive race car straight out of the box.

Team Associated RC10B6.3D Team 1/10 2WD Electric Buggy Kit
This is my first Team Associated kit and it has been great so far. I bought this right after the B6.4D kits were released and the prices of the B6.3 versions dropped. My local track runs primarily 1/10 scale 2WD buggies so I am using this on a hard-packed clay surface, relatively short course with lots of jumps and bumps. The build was extremely straight-forward, though there were a few issues with the manual where it is unclear or inaccurate so attention to detail during the build is a must. That being said, it's clear that keeping the number of parts to a minimum, simplicity of design, and serviceability were all priorities in the engineering. It goes together very quickly, one of the fastest kit-builds I've ever done. Plastics and metals are all of very good quality. Multiple gearbox options included allows customizing for various track conditions and is a nice touch. Diff lube and shock oil included are sufficient to get you up and running. Tons of hop-ups available.
A few cons I noted:
- Not including a pinion gear is senseless. Of course people will run a variety of motors in these kits and pinions need to be paired with the motor but put one or a few in so folks can err on the conservative side and get started.
- Direct steering linkage attachment to the servo horn was surprising and a big disappointment. Why there is no servo saver in the linkage is baffling and can be a catastrophic omission with the potential to quickly annihilate your expensive steering servo.
- The exclusion of sway/anti-roll bars is also a big disappointment. Anyone who is buying these is going to likely need them. The icing on the cake here is trying to figure out and source multiple parts from different kits to actually fit both front and rear roll bars - there is no single package offered that includes bars and linkage. You have to figure it out by researching how others have done it and it will cost you somewhere in the area of $50. Huge oversight for such a basic and essential part that should be inexpensive to include (i.e. bent wires, some screws, a few balls and cups, and some plastic fittings).
- The Linkage in general needs improvement as the ball cups love to pop off the ball studs on hard landings. I've been able to improve things a little with suspension adjustments, but this linkage just seems to come undone at all the wrong times. Not cool when suddenly you find yourself with a wheel flopping around mid-race. Others at my track with various B6 versions seem to have the same experience.
All-in, given the current selection of 1/10 2WD track-quality buggies, I would buy this again over the competition. There is no question the design has proven itself. But given the cons I listed above, the additional expense of sourcing parts that I feel really should have been included... I feel like there is room to improve future versions. Fortunately, it is a lot of fun to drive so it's serving its purpose!

Team Associated RC10B6.3D Team 1/10 2WD Electric Buggy Kit
received the car quickly. Disappointed anti roll bars are no longer included. Wish that had been mentioned, had to stop build until I received the roll bars and hardware. Why not just raise price and include anti roll bars.
