The RC10 World’s Car is the pinnacle of vintage RC10 buggy performance. Take a journey through time and drive a Team Associated RC10 World’s Car — it’s worlds better now than it was back then! The replica retains the spirit of the original RC10 Worlds car that crowned Brian Kinwald as 2WD I.F.M.A.R. World Champion in 1993, but includes modern-era upgrades that help to dramatically improve performance.

The RC10 World’s Car is equipped with updated V2 hard-anodized threaded shock bodies and aluminum adjustment collars to provide improved performance and adjustability. The drivetrain features the famous Stealth 3-gear transmission with a ball differential, CVA axles and V2 slipper to harness the power of modern brushless motors. A durable plastic gear cover was added to protect the V2 slipper and gears. The included 2.2” wheels fit current 2WD buggy tires so racers can select the right tire for their track.

The RC10 World’s Car kit updates make the buggy easier to build and service without altering the authentic look of the original car. The black hard-anodized machined chassis, trimmed front kick-up plate, black motor mount, and nose brace tubes look like the original parts. Some plastic parts have been updated to improve durability, accept modern batteries and components, or increase performance. Plus, the parts are color matched with the original World’s car kits, and all are are backwards compatible with original RC10 Worlds Kit.

Team Associated RC10 World’s Car 1/10 Electric Buggy Kit
So I got one of these to see how it would do against the "new" iron in stock class racing. Well I have to tell you it is much better than expected. If you begin with the Brian Kinwald setup the car is very easy to drive and predictable as well (don't bother with the kit setup, I tried it). Forward bite is amazing, surely due to the rear weight bias. I have raised quite a few eyebrows and folks love to root for the 20 year old designed underdog. I can say the stock piston and oil combo is too light though. Oh and go with Kyosho flanged bearings for the steering. They are only $10 for all four. And the JConcepts battery brace will make battery installation much easier. Overall I am very pleasantly surprised. Plus I am old and raced cars with earlier technology than this when they were new so this is a fun step back in time.

Team Associated RC10 World’s Car 1/10 Electric Buggy Kit
It's the WORLDS RC10—the best of the tubs! Not only is it nostalgia city, its competitive even with today's cars—I TQed and won 17.5 buggy on my first night with it. To be fair, I'm one of the faster guys at our local track, and the car is definitely a handicap compared to my b5m, but you can win with it. I did a completely new setup based on the latest trends we were doing to B4s before the B5s came out including running shorty all the way forward, big bore springs, and long wheelbase. Check out rctech worlds car thread for more.

Short video of it on the track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30qmCMRspXI .

4 stars only because you cant give 5 stars with as many little issues as I had. Having said that, they're little issues, and not major. Issues: Shock oil had leaked and coated entire shock bag contents. Had the tight transmission issue (although it is a non issue after you run it.) The WC battery strap system requires you to remove a 4-40 screw repeatedly from nylon to remove the battery (I added b5 battery thumb screws). Kit could have come with a battery foam to run shorty forward too. Also, do get the kyosho flanged bearings instead of using the bushings in the steering.

Team Associated RC10 World’s Car 1/10 Electric Buggy Kit
The kit is well thought out, the bags are laid out as to the parts required for each step. The instructions are quite a bit improved since the original, which I also built. Everything is improved just enough to handle modern equipment, but not so much to detract from the styling of the original. I am a Losi racer through and through but could not pass up building rc10 classic and the rc10 worlds car just for the memories, and the chance to race one again.

This is a very good and properly build machine...I have one of the exact models and it still drives like if I bought it yesterday..I was around 16 years old when I bought it and I have had it for the past 20 years and now my son has learnt to drive with it..Its great to see it available again, I guess for a limited time.

The RC10 World's kit is the peak of a ten year run of aluminum tub RC10's. There were many RC10 versions but none were as sought after as the worlds kit. This kit is going to be hot! I've got two on preorder :)

This is a nice kit but you will need a few things to make great.

First it does not come with tires. I bought a set of dirt tires, extra rims and a set of street tires.

Second buy a set of B44.2 REAR/CENTER CVA axles, Associate part # ASC9911.
With the rear suspension completely extended down I kept throwing the dog bones out of their sockets. The B44.2 version is around 1/8 inch longer than the ones I got in my kit and that made all the difference!

Last buy some tool less battery strap thumb screws, part # ASC1787. The hard case battery I have does not allow the kit battery strap to be removed by pinching the battery box inwards.

Awesome car. The quality of the parts is excellent, much better than the Championship edition I had when I was younger back in the 90's.

Also this car with a brushless system is simply amazing. Kinwald and Associated had the right idea bringing this back.

Cannot recommend highly enough.

Awesome to have this re-released! I bought 2 of them..Hope they keep the parts production for these for many years ahead.Only issue is the fiberglass battery strap really doesn't work well with Lipo hard case batteries unless you use the blue thumb screws from Associated to hold down strap.

Team Associated RC10 World’s Car 1/10 Electric Buggy Kit
Bought one for my son a few months back, and thought I better grab one too..... Very cool, takes me back in time. I didn't buy anything extra except for the kyosho bearings for the steering, as stated in other review, I feel like it's a "must" unless you just want it on the shelf.

When I saw this on sale I couldn't pass it up. It was fun to build, and my club is doing a vintage class so it will be a lot of fun and nostalgia. It is great to see how much has changed between this, my 2003 B4 factory team, and my B5M!
