Team Associated Factory Team Handheld Universal Tire Balancer
I had so much hope for this item. but I had absolutely no luck with it. I watched the TeamAssociatedRC channel on youtube with TJ Eller explaining and showing the use of this balancer. I can say for certain, the balancer I received did not spin anywhere close to nice and free like his did in the video. When I would spin a wheel it wouldn't stop with heavy side down or even spin backwards to find the heavy spot. It would just stop from resistance. Maybe the bearing had to much grease packed in them or something but I could not get 8 different wheels to actually stop with the heavy side down at all. I tried 4 2wd rear wheel buggy tires and 2 2wd front wheels and 2 stadium truck wheels and none of them stopped as it should. I tried to pop out the bearings to clean them with denatured alcohol but the bearings are pressed fit and could not get them out. Unfortunately I just gave up on it and threw it away. Money wasted. Maybe I just happened to get a bad one? I'm not sure but just a heads up.

It’s good for a compact carry along. I balanced two sets of 1/8 buggy, one set 1/10 buggy tires and had three of the square clay pieces leftover that was provided. It’s my first time balancing RC tires, it seemed some tires felt better balanced then others, may have been my gluing? Probably have better balance with better gluing of tires.

Works perfect and great quality. The "clay" that comes with the balancer is not really clay, its more like Blu tac.

I can tell you that it is convenient to take along and works, but it does take a tad longer and requires some extra effort. Does it work - absolutely yes! It comes with 2 threads (each have a hex end to screw into the tool). The end cap goes one way or another depending on 1/10 or SC. 1/10 I use the shorter shaft, SC I have to use the longer. The clay comes with it and works well - took me a couple to figure out what I needed to use. Downside is that the clay can rub off in an accident. I run on a dry clay track and it doesn't pull any dust in - I was thinking of a quick shot of clear lacquer would seal the clay.

Get the wheel on, ensure the inside is facing away from the handle. I slowly give it a spin and if my angle of the tool is right, it will stop with a heavy spot at the bottom. Use clay on the opposite side and spin again until no change. I have noticed that after balancing my wheels/tires - the car runs so much better and handles better in the corners. There are some out there that probably cost more, this does the trick and I can take with me to the track as well...

I have no complaints. It works great. For me. Perfect for my traxxas circle track 10 scale and also works on my nitro eight scale, buggy

It doesn’t work well how it comes at all. Now that I figured out how I can get my 1/10 scale wheels done I’ll give it 3 stars. I had to use a front axle attached to the handle as an adapter. After installing axle it balanced flawlessly. I still wish I had a better one but I’ll order an axle and it will get me by for a while

This wheel balancing tool is frankly amazing, for its small size and relative simplicity, its incredibly effective. I guess some people have gotten flawed examples, but mine spins incredibly smoothly. Its so smooth that with larger tires the oscillations about the heavy spot will last an absurdly long time. As a nice feature, there is an exposed disk on the end of the handle that holds one of the bearings for the main shaft. You can use light pressure on the disk to slightly slow the tires rotation so it more quickly centers on the heavy spot.

Also, I was surprised by how precise and versatile the mounting system is, it works just as well on 1/8 monster truck wheels as it does on 1/10 buggy wheels. I bought it for my racing buggy, but its so satisfying to balance a tire that I've started balancing all the tires on my bashing cars as well. Couldn't be happier.

I would definitely suggest buying lead tape to weight with though, its much easier to fix large imbalances and it stays in better condition than the provided clay.

Sadly the one I received is not smooth like the video.. it has a drag you can hear... I’m either gonna return it or try to clean/oil the bearings. I really don’t think it’s the bearings tho, it sounds like aluminum rubbing somewhere. Bummed.

Team Associated Factory Team Handheld Universal Tire Balancer
Previous to this tool, I just used the front axle of my vehicle to balance tires. But this year I added a 4wd buggy to the collection which would then require disconnecting the drives. To save time and hassle, I bought The Factory Team Balancer as it said it could do stadium truck as the competitors stated they could not. This Balancer worked great for the 2wd and 4wd buggy wheels but FAILED for the Stadium Truck. Turns out the extra $ for stadium capability was a waste. The balancing putty was sticky and applied easily however.
