The Tamiya Volkswagen Beetle MF-01X 1/10 4WD Electric Rally Car Kit recreates the classic Volkswagen Beetle in rally racing form. Thanks to its superlative reliability and uncomplicated upkeep, it was a fixture on the global rally circuit from the 1950s through to the 1980s, and this model is inspired by such rallying Beetles. The VW body sits atop Tamiya’s proven shaft-driven 4WD MF-01X chassis, which is at home on a range of surfaces from road to flat dirt.

My opinion, a great starting point for rc. Inexpensive, easy to build, and left stock, most are quite tame to drive. The M chassis kits are all pretty straightforward too, no adjustments on the suspension, just assemble and drive.
I went extreme this time.. this bug got a 2200 kv brushless outrunner,a sidewinder speed control and 3s lipo. I'm sure it's not what tamiya intended. Crazy fast and to much fun, I'm surprised with the drive train handling it so far. Definitely not a setup for beginners though.
Great kit left stock, it looks good when finished.
I do want to say thank you for being there amain kind of reminds me of the old mom & pop shops of the 60's & 70's.....
