Tamiya TB-01 Reinforced One-Way Cup Joint

I bought these because having a TT-01 One-Way is useless without them and sadly I forgot to put them in the cart when I bought my one-way unit. Luckily, Amain had it so it wasn’t a huge loss.

Now… Tamiya do specify that you need this particular joint if using universal shafts with the one-way unit. Thing is, the one-way joints that come with the one-way are taller/longer than these, even though these TB-01 joints are meant for universal shafts. I will double check the overall fit and update this review as needed.

As for the joints themselves, they are what you’d expect from a Tamiya hop-up part. They were built to withstand the rigors of bashing and overall hard driving. I will say that the slots cut into the sides are rather sharp so you will need to be careful handling them.

In closing, if you have a one-way unit, you know just how much better it can make a TB or TT chassis feel off the bat. But none of those benefits are any good if you can’t actually use the one-way unit!
