The Tamiya DT-03 chassis it a great introduction into the world of RC cars. With 4-wheel, independent, double wishbone suspension you have the basis a modern buggy.
If your kit comes with c.v.a. oil filled shocks, ESC and motor all you need is a transmitter/receiver, servo, battery (6-cell Nimh) and charger and you are set to go. The only option that I would highly recommend before you build is a full set of bearings. The bushings will get you started but will not last long before they get too worn.
Once build you have a buggy can grow with you if you so desire. You can add adjustable camber links, upgrade to carbon fiber or aluminum parts for bling and or durability. Or you can just enjoy it for years as it is. It great basher and will be great in club racing novice or stock class.
It will not compete with Associated or Losi in the Mod class but will give you a taste to see if you like racing.
