The Tamiya Buggyra Fat Fox 1/14 4WD On-Road Semi Truck is a scale recreation of the full size Buggyra Racing Fat Fox truck piloted in the 2018 season of the European truck racing circuit by 2017 champion Adam Lacko. The realistic 3-piece body is made from lightweight and durable polycarbonate, with separately molded plastic side mirrors, coupler and rear bumper parts. The TT-01 Type-E chassis is a proven performer, and this chassis is fitted with dedicated semi-truck wheels and tires for the model.

The bathtub frame of the evolved shaft-driven 4WD TT-01 Type-E has its motor and battery close to the ground for lower center of gravity and optimum balance. Mounted on the bathtub frame is a fiberglass reinforced nylon upper deck and gear covers improving rigidity, as well as a 3-piece tie rod providing a smoother steering action. The low center of gravity, great balanced design, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension system, and front and rear differential gears all come together to produce excellent operating ability. 70mm-diameter radial tires are paired with wheels developed just for this model; the high sidewalls make for forgiving turns.

Super easy kit to build.
The body is a little bit difficult to trim. But as you trim it all out make sure you are right on the line. It wont fit right if you dont, so take your time.
Also I would recommend building the kit with ball bearings. Dont add the bearings later.

I bought this kit because my track does a spec class for it, and its well worth it, bearings are the absolute only option allowed, so it keeps it competitive and cost low. as mentioned, build it right away with the bearings, and if using all original stuff you'll probably never have to work on it again if racing on a well kept track. body is not difficult, just time consuming, pay attention to cut lines and cross reference it with the body build sheet. fun per dollar ratio is probably the best out there for this spec class.

Where do I start? This thing is amazing! It was my very first build so I was challenged Big-time. After watching a few videos to get a foundation and a clue of what I was getting into, I started my build and never looked back. Took about 4 days from start to finish. Things to know before you buy
This is a kit so it will need to be assembled there is nothing pre assembled but that's the idea
You will need certain tools to build this kit. Definitely order the Tamiya 2L Phillips driver.
You will have to paint the body. If you have never painted before I suggest watching a few videos and then purchasing your choice of colors for the scheme you'd like. Sample the colors and backing colors on the spare pieces of Lexan You Will have leftover from trimming your body.
You will need to purchase a servo, a receiver and a transmitter to get this running.
Be committed to your build.
Be aware of the above and you should succeed at completing a fully functional and awesome truck. All in all this is a great kit I'm super stoked and I hope you will be as well if you decide to purchase one.

I purchased 4 of these kits for a 2020 quarantine cul-de-sac racing series with my neighbors. 2 of them were new to RC but we all enjoyed the build and racing. We sidewalk chalked a course on the street and away we went. The fun and laughing from just the first race was worth the purchase. Its easy to put together for a first timer kit build. FUN FUN FUN!

After a few street races it seems the rear wheels/rims might be a weak point so maybe have an extra set.

I bought this kit at the recommendation of friends who race it in the “Euro Truck” class. It is perhaps the easiest and least expensive way to get into RC car racing. I have raced on and off road, indoors and out and this is a great class to race because you can’t alter the vehicle other than adding a bearing kit. Since all the vehicles suspension geometry is fixed (camber caster, toe, etc) there is no tuning to be done. You have to run the included motor and ESC so everyone races the same basic vehicle. It is as close to a level playing field as possible. So it’s a ton of fun! I raced mine for the first time five days after the kit arrived and I had a great time. In addition to my other cars, I plan to race Euro Truck every time I go to the track because it’s so low effort. Other than occasional cleaning and service, all I have to do is charge the batteries and I’m ready to go. If I go to a different track, I don’t have to worry about finding the hot setup for that track because everyone is racing the same “out of the box” setup. No need to buy different tires for different tracks either. And I’m told that one set of tires can last all season.

Nice 1/14 truck or 1/10, car bought to race on indoor track lots of fun, also bought 1/10 Camaro body with smaller tires to practice on asphalt couldn't be anymore fun. Not easy to build for beginners, but had fun building be sure to watch video's when building.

absolutely diggn' it, if you have ever seen a 1/32 scale Flyslot in person the detail is phenomenal, i have been doing nothing to the chassis at all, all time and effort is going into detail for the interior and exterior of this race truck, it's going to be in the Gulf Livery colors as to some what match my MAN (VERVIERS FREINS) Flyslot, this is going to be wild and FAT. not saying much for the chassis
for i've been purchasing every hop up for the TT01E even though i'm sticking with the original tub for now, that said HW Orange XR10PRO, Thunder Power Z3R, GMADE shocks, Y.R. Tornado fan, all titanium screws where possible (it'll help with all the jewelry into this thing)and moderate lighting.
soon to do a MAN body build to have another tricked out cab. these trucks are Sick.
waited a small while for it but was gathering all its accessories while on pre-order.
