This is a Tamiya 1/35 Scale Late Production U.S. M3 Stuart Light Tank Model Kit. This 1/35 scale model faithfully depicts the M3 Stuart tank. It is a complete new kit with updated details compared to the Stuart model that has been offered for decades.
The M3 Stuart was manufactured from March 1943 onwards and deployed not only by U.S. forces; it also saw action in Soviet colors. The late production variant of the tank had a rounded turret design with the cupola removed. It used a 37mm main gun, with numerous 7.62mm machine guns: one coaxial to the main gun, one on the front, on the turret and in the side sponson’s on certain variants.
Note: This is a model kit that requires assembly. Hobby tools and paint will be needed to complete a finished product.
Features:
- 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.
- A late production M3 Stuart with riveted hull, cupola-less turret and 7.62mm machine gun is accurately recreated.
- Belt parts offer an accurate and fuss-free depiction of the tracks, combining with detailed drive sprocket and suspension components for a realistic finish.

Tamiya 1/35 U.S. M3 Stuart Light Tank Model Kit (Late Production)
As I have stated before I used to build many Tamiya Models over the last 30 some years and I have been buying a lot of other higher end models lately. But I bought this kits cause it looked like a nice weekend project to get away from all the crazy detail worked in the higher end market. I have to say this kit was a blast, great detail, crisp and clean. The figure had awesome detail, was really impressed with the head and face detail and the way it was assembled (easy for painting). The kit had no fitting issues at all and even tho it had rubber band tracks they fit well and are nicely detailed as well. All in all a great kit and worth 5 stars. Good job Tamiya!!
