Tamiya 1/35 6x6 M561 Gama Goat Model Kit
Model Kit Overview:
This is the Tamiya 1/35 6x6 M561 Gama Goat Model Kit. Originally commissioned in 1966 as an amphibious off-road vehicle, the M561 Gama Goat was a six-wheel drive truck consisting of a four-wheel tractor and a two-wheel carrier module. The employment of an articulation joint between the two modules that allowed them to move independently is what set the M561 apart from other vehicles of the same type. There were 14,000 Gama Goats produced up to 1973 that were used in a variety of roles by both the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, and it wasn't until the early 1990's that the Gama Goat started to be phased out.
