The SSD Element Enduro Diamond Pro Front Axle is a great way to improve the durability and scale appearance of any Enduro model. The SSD Diamond Pro rear axle has earned a reputation as being a great upgrade for SCX10 II models. Now, Enduro owners can take advantage of the unique hybrid design that makes the Diamond Pro a high performance upgrade.

But this Diamond Pro is different. This version includes a brass 3rd member that is compatible with the stock Element Enduro ring and pinion gears. The package also includes a plastic 3rd member that will allow the use of Axial SCX10 II ring and pinion gears, allowing a variety of axle gear ratios to be achieved by using optional ring and pinion gears from various manufacturers. Combine this with CNC machined aluminum axle tubes, larger axle shaft bearings and larger pinion gear bearings and you have a recipe for performance and durability that cannot be matched with the stock parts.

Features:

  • Scale diamond design
  • Injection molded nylon main axle housing
  • CNC machined brass third member for Element ring/pinion
  • Larger pinion bearings (14mm, 11mm)
  • CNC machined aluminum axle tubes
  • Larger axle shaft bearings (11mm)
  • Same link mount locations as stock Enduro axle
  • Compatible with stock Enduro axle gears and shafts using brass third member
  • Compatible with SCX10 II axle gears using included plastic third member
  • Fit Enduro axle lower link mounts (SSD00360, SSD00363)
  • Fit stock Enduro C hubs
  • Fit SSD aluminum C hubs (SSD00376)
  • Direct fit onto Enduro chassis
Includes:
  • Diamond axle case
  • Brass third member
  • (2) Aluminum axle tubes
  • (1) 5 x 14 x 5mm bearing
  • (3) 5 x 11 x 4mm bearings
  • (4) M2.5 x 12mm cap head
  • (10) M3 x 5mm button head
  • (1) M3 x 25mm button head

SSD RC Element Enduro Diamond Pro Front Axle
I really wanted to like these axles. SSD makes some good quality upgrades but these axles are weak. The 6 screws that hold the tubes to the housing are very short and strip out. Even with loctite. I read a lot of reviews about this issue. I should have listened.

I'm not sure why people have so many problems with these. I run these housings on my class 2 tire testing platform. This rig gets run more than anything else in the fleet, at least an hour or so per week. It has hundreds hours on the rocks, binding, grinding and being in pretty much any situation you can get a crawler in, and it's had these housings from day one. They're beat, scratched and they keep coming back for more. The only thing I've done is disassemble for bearing and grease maintenance, and durability definitely hasn't been a problem.

SSD RC Element Enduro Diamond Pro Front Axle
I was worried about the idea of how strong screwing the axle tubes into the center section would be. I was correct in worrying I should not have purchased this. Once I received the housing and actually put it together, it is WEAK right where the 3 screws go into each side to hold the axles in. The entire axle flexes at that point now and I don't expect it to last a single battery pack before it falls apart. I love SSD products, but this is a flop and I warn against purchasing it.

SSD RC Element Enduro Diamond Pro Front Axle
Great axle! Been beating the crap out of mine since they first hit available and I got one.

However, HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO ASSEMBLE AN AXLE. Bearings fit very snug, have to be aligned perfectly then some decent force to get the inner pinion bearing in the last 1-2mm. Some may think that's a bad thing, but those few don't understand machining tolerances and a snug perfect fit is a sign of QUALITY.

Now that they offer plastic skids for the third member, I'll be switching all my enduros over to these

SSD RC Element Enduro Diamond Pro Front Axle
Waste of money... better keep the original and buy a treal brass.. the main problem is that the axle cannot be screw properly if you do it will not spin... you need to unscrew it a lot.. it is not that Im overtighten anything.. it is just a major flaw in design... with the originals you can overtight it and it will always spin... DO NOT BUY
