This is the Spektrum DX3R PRO DSM2 3-Channel Surface Transmitter.

The Spektrum DX3R PRO is an advanced-level surface transmitter system. So naturally it comes with advanced-level ergonomics. Everything about the DX3R PRO is made to fit the way you drive, from the optional dropdown steering wheel to the easy-to-read backlit screen to the large grip. Right- and left-hand settings are also included.

Built-In Telemetry: Check temp, speed and voltage in real-time.
Drive smarter with the DX3R PRO. You can monitor your engine or motor temperature, keep tabs on your engine rpm's or vehicle speed, track battery voltage, and check your lap time. The DX3R PRO and integrated telemetry let you do all this right from the large LCD readout. Transmitter also includes vibrating and audible alerts.

After over 3 years of using the DX3R, it was time for a new radio. I really wanted to go with an M11X, but the price to outfit six cars with receivers was more than I wanted to spend...so I kept looking. When I first saw the 3R Pro and read the info, I questioned why Spektrum would release a slightly different version of the 3R with the higher latency telemetry capabilities and call it a 'PRO'. Now I know why. Its a much improved radio compared to the standard 3R. The additional weight feels better in my hand, the wheel and trigger feel better and more responsive, and the drop down wheel makes it more comfortable. It has all the same features/adjustments as the 3R, but has a few additional features (like the back light, lap timer, button programing and more) that push it over the top. On the track, the radio actually feelt faster than my 3R. They say its the same, but it feels more connected and responsive, but my 3R had a ton of time on it so maybe it was getting worn out. Overall, Im happy with my decision to buy the 3R Pro, and highly recommend the radio to anyone with Spektrum DSM2 gear that is thinking about upgrading to something else....

After owning the spektrum DX2s for a year then going to the DX3r pro I'm impressed on the faster response time. This controller is my favorite. The only down side is how fast it goes threw batteries. But if you do a little modifying you can add a life battery dont have to worry about it. All and all this is a good controller for the money.
