Buggy arrived packaged very well. Box suspension setup felt stiff. Opened the 3 diffs before running; diff oils are too light for my tastes & needed more oil. Tires are amazing, electronics & radio are great for RTR car. Reccomend going over car BEFORE driving. Performance is AWESOME. Acceleration/speed is great, servo/turning points can be adjusted from radio end points. I have esc calibration tool--- adjusted brake, punch, LVC, drag brake settings provides better driving experiences. I bought Cobra 811te RTR last year & very happy with that. Serpent America has parts support from Florida (I'm in CA) takes 5-7 days to arrive with UPS ground. I'd reccomend the Serpent RTR 1/8th truggys or buggys. Fantastic quality, good parts support (for me) from amain, Revelation Raceway (30 miles from me) and Serpent America. I mostly hard bash the truggy & light bash/ race the buggy.

This is a fantastic rtr buggy, however i've run into a few issues that were my fault. First issue i had was not my fault but easy to forgive and get over, the dragon rc esc is a bit confusing to program. dragon rc's diagram and charts are a bit confusing to follow. another note, the ecu is pre programed to run 4s lipo and has a lipo cut-off at 3.0v, so as long as your running 4s lipos you are good to go right out the gate. the second issue i had was the steering servo. neither serpent or dragon rc claim its waterproof, i can confirm that IT IS NOT WATER PROOF lol. i fried my steering servo on my second run with this kit, but totally my fault for running it in salty snowy conditions. But again no biggie there as the included servo is on the slow side. my third issue was again totally my fault. The esc is WATER RESISTAN rather than totally waterproof, and on my third run after the servo replacement I managed to fry the esc, Salt water is a no go for almost all rc electronics even if they claim that they are waterproof(lots of past experience on this). this was not a serpent or dragon rcs quality issue, i should of thought before running in terrible salty conditions. I still give this kit 4 stars, i did manage to get some good runtime out of it before i ruined the esc, keep it out of heavy water and especially salty conditions and you'll have a blast. its a very well built good handling rc. Dont let my bad experience steer you away. as long as you dont do what i did you'll more than likely have ZERO ISSUES. Big thanks to amain hobbies on great customer service and killer prices.
got the upgraded shock towers but they do not work with the rtr suspension. not noted, also if you upgrade suspension brackets, hingpins front&rear, you also need sus pills from s811 buggy. when all is figured out this chasis really runs well
All good only thing I will recommend make a swap to single battery move Esc and change shocks and you will have a great car handles really good for the price
Being my 1st buggy I couldn't be happier. Fun to drive. Stock shock towers seem to be a little weak but again I'm new and my landings aren't always the smoothest. Shipping was fast. Will definitely shop at amain hobbies again

Update** after 7 months i recieved the car back yesterday in the same shape i sent it to serpent in. They were suppose to call me back and shipped the car back without any notice and with the same bad esc it went to them with
still has the melted parts. Bought this car had a bad motor and esc out of the box. A.ain was great and helped me get the warranty with serpent under way but serpent had had the car for 6 months now with zero response from them except for we are waiting on parts. Idk where they get there parts from but I could have had parts made by hand and shipped around the world to me by now. Now I can't get a response from serpent at all except for we will call you back but they never do. I lost $500 and my son lost the only gift he wanted for his birthday. I would never buy anything from serpent again in my life. Between planes and cars I have about 25 buggy, planes, truggys a xmaxx and some crawlers. Never had to claim warranty on anything from associated vanquish traxxas, tekno, e flite or any of the other brands I own but I garentee there customer service is better than what I have recieved from serpent. I have had zero help from them and zero response or estimated time I'll recieve my son's car back for 6 months now. I feel I was basically robbed out of 500 dollars and my son was stolen from. Please don't buy anything from this brand. I have also emailed serpent several times and got no response. America and over seas. Don't make the same mistake I did and have your money stole by this company. At this point I don't know what else I can do other than accept that I lost $500 and will never recieve my son's car back wich sucks because i can not financiallyreplace the only gift he wanted for his bitrthday at this time and feel terriblethat this happened to him.
