The Tamiya Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Bubbletop 1/48 Model Airplane Kit is a cost-effective set that includes not only the 1/48 Republic P-47D Thunderbolt "Bubbletop" but also a 1/48 U.S.1/4-ton 4x4 Light Vehicle. This special package also includes a complementary instruction manual and one standing officer figure. The XP-47B prototype took flight in May 1941, leading to the production of a total of 15,683 units of the powerful Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. Known for its effectiveness in ground attack missions, the P-47D Thunderbolt "Bubbletop" with its distinctive canopy became a renowned fighter-bomber. The 1/4-ton 4x4 Light Vehicle, known for its robust chassis and reliable engine, saw over 600,000 units produced during WWII.
