By far one of thee best transmitters on the market right Now. This controller can control a lot of variables. Everything is super easy to navigate and change around. I highly recommend it.
It a good trammiter, got it for my daughter she loves it. All Sanwa products are good.
Manual says receiver will display blue LED when bound. Not true. LED light is orange.
Awsome radio for a cheaper price! Upon first impression it feels on the cheaper side, and the battery tray isn’t that great but they do leave enough of a lead if you want to convert it over to lipo/lLiFe. The functionality is great, scrolling through the menu of prions is pretty easy to navigate.
The adjustability is far better than an RTR transmitter, and gives you greater control over steering and throttle adjustability.
I'll be totally honest. They missed the mark on a few things. Battery, backlight, timer. Basic functions any arduino user could code.
It's great for 99 usd. But I was expecting ... It's ok. I can't express it better then that. It's ok.
Better then a rtr radio? YES. KO propo EX? no.
I probably would have gone futaba in the 136 usd range as a starting radio if I could.
Had a few minor changes that make this fairly versatile radio system a bargain.
Using this transmitter/receiver on an Axial SCX10 II Crawler Kit that is going to my wife. Due to the size of the receiver case, I will remove the existing Axial receiver box from its skid plate and replace it with a larger Element Enduro receiver box ($9).
Because the plastic handle of the MX-6 is a bit slippery, I am wrapping it with the tape ($4) typically used on tennis racket grips.
Foam on steering wheel is marginal for feel; so, I will also be replacing the foam or the entire wheel ($20).
Took a star off for the above issues I needed to address; but, otherwise a nice upgrade radio system.
I’m a little unhappy with this unit. I’ve had connection problems from day one and couldn’t figure out why I’d get disqualified every race when my car randomly shut down. Unfortunately amain doesn’t handle warranty for sanwa so I don’t get the 5 star treatment. The warranty claim probably isn’t worth the time I’ll be waiting at the post office just to send it off. It’s not worth taking an hour away from my work for a &51 receiver. I should have tried another brand in my opinion. It is simple to use and has a good feel to it though. For clarity I use this for racing. During practice no interference happens when 5 or less people are on the stand. As soon as 8 plus people are driving, I can barely get a few clean laps before a glitch. It would be a great transmitter for bashing but not racing
Real Solid Radio. First ever radio for me and I really enjoyed it as I learnt how to RC. A great starter radio system for newbies. Cheap but good quality radio. Only bummer is that the radio system suffers from a lot of interference in the background as the system gets wear and tear. When I got a new car, I used a 2 year old receiver, and within 10 minutes it got a random background signal, and crashed my car at full speed into a wall at 15m distance. Needless to say, it broke the whole front end off. My advice: Start here, but get rid of it or stop using it once you are comfortable with my expensive alternatives.
Very good radio for the money. Very fast. Nice features that are really all that's needed. Thanks Amain. As always.
I received my mx6 delivered by FedEx today. This radio system is awesome I give 5 stars across the board. The mx6 is better than futaba 3pv it fits in the hand nice and fingers don't have to reach as far for the throttle. Easy to use menu. I didn't have to bind or pair the radio and receiver to each other. Calibrating to my 510r esc was easy and took less than 2 minutes. Sanwa/Airtronics hit a home run with this system. The receiver is sqaure shaped and fits nice and easy in my Losi 22-4 4wd buggy. Thank you to everyone at AmainHobbies for suggesting the switch to Sanwa. AmainHobbies Customer service is first class 5 stars very knowledgeable and helpful. Aaron Salais Kailua Hawaii
I use Sanwa in my racing program but wanted something simpler to take out on crawls and trail rides with my friends. The MX-6 with it's waterproof receivers and easy menu navigation still gives the Sanwa feel when driving, just in a simpler package. It has great steering throw to maximise end points on crawlers with large steering angles.
The only small downside is the receivers are very big. Too big for the electronics box on either my TRX-4 Sport or Axial UMG10. I had to mount the receiver outside the box. Seeing as the receiver is waterproof I'm not too concerned but an inconvenience all the same. I took a star off for this.
Binding new receivers is easy and the model memory with name makes it easy to scroll through to the right vehicle.
This radio and receiver work god they pared easy. The only thing is the radio,it just it’s built very strong if I would shake it it makes a lot of rattling sounds, but other than that very good product and the esc cord connection it’s really stiff but it will fit.
Over all good radio upgrade from the RTR controller one thing, I found Is that the receiver is big and doesn’t fit in some boxes only reason for 4 starts
This is my first kit that i built, i did alot of research on this and i went little on the cheap side, reasonable price i didn't feel i needed something bigger more expensive and perhaps i will down the road but i am using this with my TLR 22 5.0 DC Roller 1/10th scale buggy and TLR 3.0 Short Course Truck. It response is well done, i have experienced nothing i love the grip of it, it feels natural to my hand and i have experienced no lag or issues, i have raced with it aprox 10 times, it is why i waited to make my review so i could give an honest response. Overall i really like it, my only issue is the display is rather outdated and some of the instructions could be worked on to explain things further....
Update: 07/01/2022 - I have to say, this radio is solid for an upgrade from the RTR, i have used this to replace my RTR equipment, i can run 10 vehicles with separate receivers with the transmitter, i am not to keen on the manual on how to do it and binding is rather confusing but i figured it out. I am currently using this with my old 22S RTR Shortcourse Truck, i replaced the electrics and with this receiver that i purchased because you can have as many as 10 vehicles, i have two of these because my son and i have 3 vehicle each, 2 = 22S Shortcourse Truck, 2 22 5.0 Buggy (Which i purchased for) and my redcat crawler all worked well, the only grip is the pain in the ass to bind and the instructions are not very clear.
My only con about it, is the outdated interface is dark and black and very dated in terms of digital interface, but i have gotten over that.
This is a solid entry level upgrade from your standard RTR radio. The transmitter has all the features you need to fine tune your ride, plus you can store up to ten vehicles on this. My only gripe would be that it uses double A batteries instead of a rechargeable battery. I was able to fit a Reedy Wolfpack 1600mah 2S lipo in the compartment with no trimming needed.
All in all, this is a great radio for beginners and advanced users.
Awesome Tx/Rx. Although the Rx are expensive on it's own, its still a great setup. Lots of settings and adjustments through the menu. Easy to use for a great price. I would consider this as an entry level race setup. Works great and haven't had any issues since the purchase. 3 months and counting. Thank you!
Its an alright radio for starters, will get you up and rolling for a while
I keep using Futaba , to this time Sanwa Feel very good , The receiver is waterproof , worth buying .
Great radio easy to set up have no problems with it works great on all my RC cars and trucks I would recommend this to anyone that wants to upgrade a main really help me out by picking his radio their tech guys really know there product. Can’t thank them enough!!!
Great smaller... Inexpensive quality transmitter. Using on Losi Mini T 2.0. Has every adjusment needed.
