Ruddog 30mm Fan w/240mm Wire

CHEAP FAN. Do not buy. Better to get a stronger, more reliable WTF fan. Or the maclan fan, which I have, removed the sticker and saw it was a WTF fan, so can save a couple bucks there.

As for this fan...
I read the reviews before finishing a build and using it in my brand new carpet 2wd buggy. I did a bench test. Firstly, every time I turned it on, the fan's motor seemed to slowly raise RPM until a certain point--already a clear indicator something isn't right. Second, it proved to be a very weak fan. Now, for my bench test, I let it run and watched the temps of the motor's fan. By 3 minutes it was at its max temp, just short of 120*F and could easily see this fan having a short life and soon enough crapping out in a 5 minute run. Saved myself the drama of potentially ruining an expensive motor and the cooling fan going up in smoke--threw it out. Look elsewhere and don't fall for the low price.

Installed one and it stopped working the first day of use. I took it apart to see if there was anything obvious. These are not ball bearing fans (stating for clarification, they are not advertised as having bearings).

Update... installed 2nd one (in a different vehicle even) seized up and overheated 2nd heat of use.

Another review says the same thing yet they gave the fan 4 stars? Doesn't make sense to rate it that high considering it stopped working the same day.

This fan is GARBAGE. I went thru THREE fans in one race day on my stock 4wd! The glade assembly comes out of the housing with ease and the motor cooks itself. I ran the exact same amount on my 2wd with a competitors fan and didn’t have ANY ISSUES! I’ll never buy these again and will try to sell the couple other ones I have. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I was hesitant to buy one of these fans, but my friend had one for 2 years and he said it was still working strong. So I bought one.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews for this fan. I have had it in for about a month and it is super strong and keeps my motor cool.

Terrible product. These fans last 1 race max in 17.5 2wd buggy and 13.5 4wd buggy. The fan blade section is not well secured and will come out with even the slightest missed landing. If you can run smooth and downside every jump then you might get 2 races out of it.

Do not buy.

It’s been installed on my EB410’s motor since the kit was new. Has worked flawlessly. Keeps motor temps in check. Great value.

Didn't last more than one practice day before it overheated itself and seized up creating an awful smell and a ruined fan.
