RJ Speed Digger Fun Car Kit
One of my all time favorite kits. I bought one of these back in the mid 90's when it was produced under the Bolink name and I still have it! Does not need fancy electronics, its so light you can gear it up with just about anything. Mine has an old Tekin Rebel ESC with a Trinity Green Machine stock motor that I put into it then, and its a great combo.

The steering kingpins do like to break, and you will eat up rear tires as it does not have a diff. Definitely recommend a bearing kit. You can also fit RJ's ball diff if you'd like, but this little car will never be a racer. Perfect for parking lots and having bash day fun on a smaller track!

RJ Speed Digger Fun Car Kit
Tons of fun! I'm using a stock Tamiya silver can 540 motor paired with a Hexfly esc and whatever servo was kicking around. This is my third RJ Speed kit.
These are really basic and really tough. Added some Kinetic 1.5" wide foam drag slicks and it drives over short grass/ dirt and pavement with the stock gearing. I find it especially fun to drive on hard packed gravel surfaces. I don't know why I waited this long to get one. Definitely one to add to your collection. And as always, A-main hobbies pulls through with really fast shipping and excellent spare parts availability.

RJ Speed Digger Fun Car Kit
Super cool kits! I got the bug, sportsman, LTO, and a couple 3.2 sports. Hobbywing Quicruns and 3660's turn them into little rocketships for less than you gave Starbucks this month.

Amain is the best RC e-tailer available, super fast shipping and top notch customer service.

RJ Speed Digger Fun Car Kit
Returning to the hobby. The new RJ Speed Digger (Truck or Bug) are just like the original. I do miss the small changes in the Digger 2 kits that Bolink originally had, especially with the Bug body, it was much sleeker, as well as the additional servo tray behind the front axle for mounting options. Purchased kits for the entire family so that we can all enjoy. These are meant for pure fun. Recommend a 25.5 or 21.5 brushless motor setup to keep things tame. Also recommend adding adhesive weights to the front and sides to balance the vehicle as well as add more weight to keep the nose down and more controllable for parking lot bashing. Stock bushings are OK, but you may want to pick up a small bottle of bushing lubricant and apply between runs to keep the bushings operating properly. Bearings may wear out faster on this kit, depending on your use and environment as they are all exposed to any moisture that you might encounter. Properly lubricated bushings will last a long time and provide many hours of enjoyment.

This kit does exactly what it needs to. Provides a great platform for the younger generation to learn on as well as a durable configuration to handle some bashing and training sessions.

Recommend CRC rubber tires as an option if this is to be run on paved surfaces. The foam tires are great for traction but will break apart quickly with normal use on paved or rough surfaces.

RJ Speed Digger Fun Car Kit
This is the first RJ Speed kit that I have ever purchased. It is a good kit for beginners or budget bashers. Put bearings and a stock 540 brushed motor in it and you're gonna have hours of fun. It could use a slightly more powerful motor, like a Tamiya Torque Tuned or a 27t Axial, but that's about as much as I would recommend. I've seen these things go airborne with a brushless setup......Not a happy ending. Save the bigger motors for the Pan Car or the Sportsman kits. Overall, it's a lot of fun for the money.
