Redcat Everest-10 1/10 4WD RTR Electric Rock Crawler
This is my first crawler so I cant compare with anything else but we're having a blast with this thing. It seems pretty capable, only thing is the tires don't seem to grip anything that well. I mean it climbs over WAY more stuff than probably about any non-crawler R/C could dream of but I feel like there's a lot of things I can get over simply due to lack of grip. I did have to center the steering trim and then re mount the servo horn but aside from that the construction was good. I did shave the steering stops down for more throw as I could only dial in about 60-65% of steering rate before it would hit the factory stops and now I have 100% steering. also moved the front upper links outboard and put in an arrma 12T 550 motor from the megas, and it now does about 9mph with stock gearing vs the 3mph it did on the stock motor. low speed crawling you do lose a tiny bit of finesse with the swap but if you got a smooth trigger finger you can still crawl slowly. For the dollar I dont think this can be beat. Probably going to try the maverick scout next since we need another crawler now! Me and my daughter fight over the radio for this one! lol

Redcat Everest-10 1/10 4WD RTR Electric Rock Crawler
I picked this up in July of 2016 so I've had 2 full years of experience with this crawler.

Put real simply? There is no better RC Value than what you get with this here. Period.

It's so durable. Tires are awesome. Articulation is fantastic.

I'd hesitate to even call this an entry level crawler. It's simply a good crawler. I went on my first trail run with some buddies about a month ago. Granted this leans more towards the competition crawler side but I was thrilled to see this thing do things other Axial SCX10s couldn't. And those are literally twice as expensive if not more.

It's just fantastic. Just go buy it already. ;)

Redcat Everest-10 1/10 4WD RTR Electric Rock Crawler
This was my first crawler and overall I couldn't have been happier with the purchase. I did end up changing the stock motor for more speed and the stock tires didn't have the performance I was looking for so those were upgraded as well. I would agree with the other review about the steering servo being poorly placed. The plastic one took a hit and snapped but it's an easy replacement. It has plenty of flex in the suspension and I really like the large 2.2 tires for clearance. Liked it so much I bought a second one for my son. Simple design and easy to work on, it's no axial but there are some interchangeable axial parts. Overall, for a budget crawler this rig has done everything I could ask of it.
