RCPROPLUS Spring Lock Soldering Station
Great soldering stand! totally worth every penny! two minor things though, one is that since aluminum is a good conductor of heat, the spring clamps can get hot if your iron is really close to it. The other is that because of the way the clamps are kept moving vertically and the fact that they are round, the sliding part can rotate out of line a little bit. No big deal or hindrance to use and operation. :

RCPROPLUS Spring Lock Soldering Station
This is a decent tool that could be great with a little refinement.

Spring loaded cylinders do not provide adequate grip and will allow connector movement while soldering. The alligator clip version would probably eliminate this problem. Cylinders can also become locked in the open or closed position, making adjustments slightly difficult. Thumb setscrews do not always set properly so alignment can be skewed at critical moments.

RCPROPLUS Spring Lock Soldering Station
I very rarely write reviews, and I bought this soldering station because of the good reviews. But reviews and actual use are worlds apart. This unit is very hard to use, it comes apart constantly. No matter how hard you put down the set screws, they become loose. The actual design of the round holding heads are a very poor design. They really don't hold anything well. This is a very frustrating unit to work with, and I have been attempting to use it now for 6 months. I will be purchasing the old design style with the alligator clips, and throwing this piece of junk away. Don't waste your money!!

RCPROPLUS Spring Lock Soldering Station
Very disappointed. The spring loaded holders do not have enough strength keep my Deans or XT90 connectors from moving while trying to solder. The other issue is no matter how tight I tighten the lugs for the arms, they come loose very easily. Great concept, just shy of doing the job I need it to do.
