RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
I picked up a pair of Treal wheels at the same time as these. The RC4WD compared to the others were pretty cheap in construction (thin metal, etc). This isnt a deal breaker as it wouldnt harm the function of the wheel.

My issue is the screw location. Using RC4WD tires on the wheels, I was unable to get the screws aligned and tightened. This was a combo of the tires pushing out the distance too much to get screw grip on the threads, but also the alignment was impossible for me. Others may be better than I, but I moved on and have not used the wheels. RC4WD tires are awesome, but I would not recommend these wheels on the low end of their line.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
The RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Beadlock Wheels are wheels which look great and have a great selection of tires. However, they're incredibly unintuitive, complicated, have no mounting instructions in the packaging and have a non-standard hex lug shape, which requires modification of standard hex hubs on non-RC4WD micro crawlers for fitment.

I bought these for my SCX24 and have had a mostly-positive experience with them, but not all has been smooth sailing. Modification of the standard plastic SCX24 hubs is required for these to be able to work (be it by filing down the hubs, or hammering them into the wheel lugs) and the Hot Racing Brass 7mm Hex Hubs may as well not even fit, as they aren’t worth modifying to get them to fit, as the wheels already weigh enough. It’s not a huge issue, just an inconvenience.

Disassembly, tire installation and reassembly, however, are. Regardless of what micro crawler you are running, from the SCX24 to the 1/18 RC4WD Gelande II; disassembly, tire installation and reassembly are incredibly difficult on these wheels if you do not know what you are doing and there are no instructions on how to do it included with the wheels.

My recommendation is to use the ‘paperclip’ method (Youtube it for detail), which involves only unscrewing two of the six screws and then threading a paperclip (bent into a U-shape) through said two holes, before completely disassembling the wheel.

Overall, however, the wheels are well-built, sturdy, heavy, look fantastic and has some of the best tire variety on the market. SCX24 owners, know you will lose a little bit of ride height, but the tire designs and tire compounds available for these wheels by RC4WD are some of the best on the market and that more than makes up for it.

Good weight addition at a good price and opens up a lot of options for tires. Installed on a SCX24 deadbolt and used with RC4WD rock crushers.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
I wish I could give 0 stars. The most frustrating product I have ever used. They don’t fit any of my tires, the screws are too short so getting them mounted made me want to smash them with a hammer. And the screws are an in between size so the hundreds you already have won’t work. The bead has to be just right to get it barely held on. 6 screw holes and 7 holes in the wheel so they have to be mounted one way. Waste of money

Decent little wheels that adds to the LCG. The small size makes them a PITA to put together. The hardware kinda sucks and the heads round out easily. I still have them on my SCX24 Gladiator after a year of light use. I reversed them and put RC4Wd Thornbird Super Swampers on to give it an awesome looking, capable, wider stance.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
Poor quality control. Although individually packaged, 2 of the wheels were scratched. 2 of the screw holes in one hub were borderline stripped. Of course I had already assembled and installed tires on the other 3. Hopefully the hub will last. I haven't installed them yet, but I hear that they require drilling to work with the wheel nut with the extended hexes. I'll find out when those arrive tomorrow. I like that they can be assembled to get more offset for a wider stance, but other than that the Injora stamped steel wheels are better quality and cheaper. Unless you need the wider stance, go with Injora.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
I bought a set of these wheels for my SCX24 based on the other reviews I had read. The other reviews are correct these wheels will fit the scx24. However they are tricky to mount tires on. There are no assembly instructions included and the bolts are hard to align with the three piece setup.I found a paperclip worked well as an alignment tool. This will help you align the outer wheel dish to get bolts started. I originally bought tires way smaller than the stock scx24 and was unimpressed with that setup. I realized that RC4WD makes alot of 1" tires that have different outer diameters so be careful in your tire choice especially if you're wanting to use them on an SCX24 I can't speak for the other micro's on the market. I can only give these wheels a 3 star review because: RC4WD should provide a tire size chart for vehicles which they know you'll be using their wheel and tire setup on. Two, for a few cents extra they should provide a wheel alignment tool with these wheels to make the mounting process easier. The lack of instruction does leave a guessing game as to how to mount tires until you've done it a time or two. If you're considering these wheels for the SCX24. I would recommend getting the thier hubs that fit SCX24 aswell. Save yourself the frustration between mounting ties and mounting them on the truck. I can't emphasize enough to be patient when mounting tires on these wheels you'll be rewarded taking the time, all you need is a paperclip to align them.

No issues mounting to the RC4WD micro MT/R tires, everything as advertised, and including the wheel nut driver is nice as you will need it with these wheels. Nice looks, nice weight. An exact replica of their full-size versions

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
Let me start off by stating the positives of these wheels: they look absolutely fantastic and have decent heft to them. Unfortunately, this is the end of the positives, as they have been a COMPLETE nightmare to use. They are near impossible to assemble once you go to use them. Aside from the alignment issues that others have mentioned, they simply do not want to go back together properly. It is nearly impossible to properly seat the bead of the tire with the center ring installed, as every attempt I made caused at least one portion of the bead to spill out from one side. I believe the center ring is about 1mm too wide for these rims, and if I had a lathe, I could solve this issue easily by shaving .5mm off of each side, but alas, I do not have a lathe, so the problem is not fixable.

Others have also mentioned that the steel is too thin, and I unfortunately agree with that assessment, because once I FINALLY got a tire on (RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler MT/R), two major issues arose: the tire was cut slightly at a portion of the bead, and they were seated very lop sided. Because of the very visible lop sidedness, they wobbled. A LOT. If it were a full-scale car, it would bounce around like a mechanical bull. That much wobble.

Fitting it was another issue: while they fit the hex on my vehicle (FMS Toyota Land Cruiser LC80), installation on the truck became a feat because the socket cap screws used to hold the wheels together interfered with the socket used to install the wheel nut. Once I filed it down to fit, I got it to fit between the socket cap screws (kinda), and was able to install the wheel on the model, only then to discover the wobble of the tire.

These are super neat looking wheels, and I think they might work IF instead of using them as beadlock, I omit the locking rings and glue the tires on instead, but then I'll lose the extra weight from the rings and still have trouble with the nut driver for installation of the completed wheel and tire assembly because of the socket cap screws, making the entire reason I bought them moot.

I thought I was getting a good deal by getting a set of four wheels for about $33 with tax, but instead, I just wasted money I could have spent on a set of different, much less troublesome wheels. I can tell RC4WD makes some high quality products based on the tires I got from them, but I think I'm a bit gun-shy on their wheels after this experience.

Great wheels. Have the Patagonia and Mud slingers mounted on a couple different sets. I’d give them 5 stars but they are difficult to put together. Definitely need to have strong hands. There is no way my kids could mount them lol. All in al very happy with them.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
Don't buy! Waste of money. Wheels won't fit any tires, even after trying numerous tire brands. Not worth the effort or the money. As the other reviews say, if amain hobbies won't refund, these will either be in the garbage or sit in a tool box wasting space. Too much work for no results. I would rate this lower than one star if I could. Very disappointed in RC4wd.

RC4WD Stamped Steel 1.0" Stock Beadlock Wheels (Black) (4)
I bought these because of how easy it was to set them up after watching a couple youtube videos. Use a skinny paper clip, makes it so much easier. You may lose a little ride height, but with the RC4WD mudslinger tires I didn't see very much of a difference. My son has a white set on his yellow scx24 jeep and we bought the black set to go with his rock racer scx24 that we are building.

The wheels are well made, but can be a little finicky when assembling them. Just take your time and make sure you have the outer ring properly aligned before installing the screws.
