Apprecite their efforts. Give thanks.
Materials are cheap
Plastic is fragile
Metal is basically pot metal so easy to break
Screws strip very very easily
Assembly is shotty. RTR doesn’t mean ready to run, it means ready to completely disassemble and reassemble correctly using actual loc-tire and actual glue. As it comes in the box, if run, will surely fall apart slowly as all the loose screws wiggle out. Much frustration to be had there.
Shocks don’t come with oil and nobody at Amain or rc4wd seem to know anything about them. They perform like springs on a stick.
Suspension out of the box and handling is the same as what one would experience with a Walmart toy truck.
Arrived with one bent shock. Customer service went like this. Emailed and received a response from Ryan who shirked all the responsibility to me and RC4WD. Consequently RC4WD’s response was less than optimal as they are unfamiliar with the workings of the product they sell, leading me back to A main. Later I called Amain and I talked to someone who did shipped a new shock. So while the end result of customer service was good, the initial response was almost fatal to any further business transaction with Amain.
All in all this truck will end up costing me well over the price of a vanquish truck to get it running properly. Should have spent the extra cash up front for better features and the reputation that comes with Vanquish or with an upgraded Traxxas TRX4.
