On top of that, the lights didn't even correctly reach, I could only use 4 out of 6 of them (which is a review for another place). The main gripe I have other than this should come with lights already is that under the body and between the chassis where the wires fit is TIGHT. I mean tight like I had to finagle the body on carefully even before I installed the lights. It was a major pain in the butt to get the lighting wires AND all the other wires to fit cleanly AND get the body to actually install. I almost had to take out the interior to make this work but I was able to stuff some of the wires in the dash area...
As far as functionality this little thing is pretty capable! The Axial SCX24 will outperform this crawling but this thing looks like a BEAUTY while doing it! It's good at trail crawling and some light rock crawling it just won't dance over a rock course as the SCX24 does. It's a little slower than the Axial and the turning radius is not great. However, for the scale aspect and for what it is I'm happy with it. If you are into micros and want something else to add to your set I would definitely recommend this. It's actually really fun that it offers a very different driving experience than the Axial SCX24. I think both are an awesome pair for your micro collection. I wish the price would come down, this would feel less painful if it was $209.99 and included lights...wink wink RC4WD increase your production!
This little D90 can go just about anywhere. I am very impressed with the manufacturing quality, performance, and attention to detail that went into this rig. I highly recommend it, if you are on the fence, you will not be disappointed. Can’t beat AmainHobbies’ shipping prices either. I have lots of plans for this truck in terms of modifications and places to take it. Everyone who has seen it loves it and has considered getting one as well. 11/10.
Weak point is the motor as it burnt out relatively quickly. RC4WD was good about sending me a replacement.
