The ProTek RC 6s 60C Si-Graphene + High Voltage LiPo Battery is an ideal choice for a variety of R/C applications. From helicopters, airplanes, drones, and cars, the Si-Graphene Protek 6s pack provides a multitude of benefits over others. Weighing in at a scant 670 grams, any R/C application that typically accepts a 6s 5000 will appreciate an average of 3 ounces less weight (per battery). From as simple as a lower all up weight, to a decreased wing loading, or lower center of gravity, shaving previous grams off any application is a great performance boost! While capacity is slightly less than a conventional 5000mAh cell, in real world flight testing pilots have not noticed a reduction in flight time thanks to less current draw from an overall lighter set up on a variety of aircraft.

Derived from the incredibly successful line of 2s - 4s batteries, this 6s pack will provide incredible performance that has been taking the R/C car world by storm at all major races, and club racing. Built around not only high voltage capable cells, but Silicon Graphene technology, performance enthusiasts will ask why hasn't this pack been available earlier?

For individuals who are travelling frequently with their RC's, many people are aware of how strict TSA agents can be when travelling domestically in the United States. Thanks to this batteries standard voltage (22.2 - as if it was a standard non HV cell), the capacity comes in at 4500mAh, which squeeks under the radar at 99.9WH, allowing for less hassle at the security checkpoints.

When compared to standard LiPo and LiHV, Silicon Graphene cells deliver improved efficiency, lower operating temperatures, lower internal resistance, better run time, increased cycle life and increased voltage; but Graphene + 60C LiPo batteries take that a step further with more power and lower internal resistance when compared to the previous ProTek LiHV Graphene packs!

Lab testing has shown that ProTek R/C Silicon Graphene packs have double the cycle life when charged at 1C rates, and can be charged at higher amp rates, with less risk of damage to the pack. More importantly, the discharge curve is flatter, meaning the cells maintain higher voltage throughout the discharge cycle with no significant drop off. Additionally, when compared to conventional LiPo batteries Silicon Graphene batteries are lighter, providing a higher capacity per gram ratio. With 22.8V nominal voltage, 60C discharge ratings, incredibly high charge rates, ProTek R/C 600C Graphene + are going to take your helicopter, airplane, drone, and car to new heights.

Features:

  • Suited for helicopter, airplane, drone, & 6s capable cars, trucks, and buggies
  • Improved power to weight ratio and a lower overall CG
  • Silicone Graphene can handle more abuse and deliver more current than a standard LiPo battery
  • Improved efficiency, lower operating temperatures, and lower internal resistance!
  • More capacity gram for gram when compared to standard LiPo cells
  • 5C max charge rates - 1C charge rate recommended for longest life
  • 22.8V nominal voltage
  • Bare leads - Pick your own connector type
NOTE: While these batteries are LiHV cells, they can still be charged the same as a standard LiPo with a standard LiPo charger. The overall voltage and capacity will be slightly less than when charged to LiHV specs, but the performance will be better than a standard LiPo thanks to the flat discharge curve, reduced weight and low internal resistance. When charged to 26.1V, these packs will still offer a noticeable advantage when compared to a standard 25.2V LiPo pack (when fully charged).

LITHIUM POLYMER SAFETY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT:
1) DO NOT leave the battery in your model when charging
2) DO NOT leave unattended when charging
3) ALWAYS balance charge the battery
4) ALWAYS use a LiPo charging bag
5) YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge the pack (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
6) YOU MUST not over discharge the Li-Poly battery pack
7) READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.

Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

ProTek RC 6S 60C Si-Graphene + HV LiPo Battery (22.2V/4500mah)
I grabbed one of these batteries to try out with my UDR because Ive been so happy with the 4 Protek 6500mah LiHV 4s packs I grabbed when I ordered my 3 new Tekno kits about 18 months ago, plus a pair of the Protek 3s shorty packs for my TRX-4 that is heavily modified, with "heavy" being the key word as its more than 2 times its original weight along with the Tekin RX4 and ROC412HD 1800kv brushless setup which with those batteries has way more power available than Ive ever needed for any situation Ive put the truck in.

Anyway, after a dozen or so cycles Im 100% satisfied with the battery, and I can also say that according to my Protek 625 Duo Touch charger, my battery capacity is around 5100mah when chaging to HV levels, well over the 4800 that Protek/AMain advertise... not sure if they are all like that or if I just got lucky, but even with that, the only thing I would like more would be longer runtime. I know a lot of ut has to do with the weight of the truck as well as the heavy drive train that sucks a good amount of power to just spin the wheels off the ground, but about 15 minutes is what I get when running in a big hard packed dirt/gravel parking lot, so Im ojnthe throttle pretty hard much of the time. When I run my Tekno eb48.4, et48.3 or sc410.3 at the same place with the older Protek 4s 6500mah packs I typically get beteen 20 and 25 minutes. I also have a 6200mah Gens Ace 6s that is physically much bigger and is a tight fit in the UDR, and while I do usually see a bit better runtime with that one at 15 to 18 minutes, the punch and power seems better with the Protek which is probably a combination of the HV and significantly lighter weight battery. Now that Ive tried the Protek 6s pack out, Im going to grab more for my other rigs that can run 6s. If they could make a version thats at least 1000mah more while being slightly shorter than the Gens Ace it would be perfect IMO.
